Please Keep it a Secret

Shhhh, don't tell the boss lady, but I had technical difficulties this week - meaning I had the image all colored and cut out ready to go, and then I decided to get creative.  I tried to do a fancy background with distress inks and salt, but didn't realize that it was going to take a few more hours to completely dry to the touch, so I put my fingers on the background and then touched the colored image..... needless to say my poor image now has several blue fingerprints all over it!!!!  So instead of an adorable penguin floating by to wish you a Merry Christmas, I have chosen to showcase some of my older cards using High Hopes rubber stamps.

This first image is Cowboy Snowman available here.

And this cutie is Candy Cane Penguin available at One Crazy Stamper.

And lastly this is Snowman Cup of Love which you can purchase here.

I hope you enjoyed the look back at some of my favorite High Hopes cards!

One of my all time favorite images today.  I first colored this adorable penguin a couple of years ago, and recently decided that it deserved to be reinked and redesigned, so.......

Christmas Banner

Here's another image that I have owned for a couple of years but never got the chance to stamp and color even though I adore it - it's penguins - what more do I have to say!!!

This is a Lili of the Valley image that unfortunately seems to be discontinued as I cannot find it on their site.  I have colored in with Copics, and then added Stampendous Frantage Shabby White Embossing Enamel for the look of snow.

This is just one of several new images I just had to add -  it is entitled Winter Get Together.  I have colored it with Copics, then added Flower Soft Polar White and Liquid Embossing to create the look of snow.

More Advents

Christmas season is fast approaching, and last year I did several advent calendars to celebrate the season.  Here's photos of two of the advent calendars I made last year.

The first version features a bird and his home, while the second one features an older Hallmark ornament of Santa.

Loved making them and I hope you enjoy looking at them!

Beary Snowy

Mother Nature is giving us a taste of winter today - just a few snowflakes flying around, but the temperature is only 3 and the wind is brutal - brrrrrrrrr is all I can say!

Here's another card that I colored last year - amazing what you find in your old posts.  This adorable image is from Lili of the Valley that I colored with Copics.  The hat received a coat of Polar White Flower Soft to add some dimension, and a wood snowflake mounted in the corner of the card front, finishes off the card.

This adorable image and sentiment are from Lili of the Valley.  The image was colored with Copics, cut out with a Spellbinder die, and then mounted on paper from my stash.  The snowflake border and individual snowflakes are from Joy Craft.

Play Hard

I've been going through my drafts of posts, and have noticed that I have a lot of cards that never got posted, so here's the first of many older cards from earlier this year.

This card features a Prima stamp that I colored with Copics, and then mounted on older Basic Grey paper.  To achieve the texture on the overalls I used some Copic Blender solution in a mister and a cross hatch textured stamp,  The gears are a die from Memory Box, and the sentiment is an oldie from my stash.

Autumn Adorable!!

The days are getting cooler, you can feel the change of season in the air, but I love the color explosion of fall, with all the beautiful gold, red and orange hues in the leaves of the trees.  My card today celebrates the season!

This adorable image is Fairy Twila from C. C. Designs that I have colored with Copics, and then mounted on older paper from Chatterbox.  The ribbon was a steal from Costco, and the flowers are from my stash and are a mix of Prima, Wild Orchid and even some from the local big box craft store.  The sentiment is from Whipper Snapper stamps.  Love this stamp and will be using her again soon - maybe you'll see her pop up as a Christmas card!
