Happy, Happy Everything!!

Have I said lately that I love the adorable images from Krista Smith's Saturated Canary esty shop!!!  How can anyone resist these gorgeous images!!!
This is "Murray" who I colored with Copics, fussy cut and mounted on paper from Recollections, then framed with a Martha Stewart punch around the page design.  The dp for the card front is also from Recollections, and the beautiful tulips were created with a Memory Box die.  The sentiment is from Pink By Design Hoppy Easter set.

Your Shoes

I have a wonderful group of women that come to my place to color and chat, and recently one of them let me stamp one of her newest images, and then challenged me to be the first one to color it and make a card!
Well, here's the finished project and I think it turned out okay - what do you think?

This sweetie is Stamping Bella's "Big Shoes" by Mo Manning, colored with Copics and Prismacolor pencils.  The image was cut with Spellbinders Labels Eighteen, then mounted on dp from Authentique's Genuine collection.  Several butterflies were stamped and colored with Prismacolor pencils to match the originals on the dp.
Prima flowers with microbead centers, and pearls made with a Viva Decor Pearl pen finish the card.

Sundays With Crissy Challenge

The theme for this month's challenge at Sundays with Crissy is Animals.  I have owned several of Crissy's images from High Hopes stamps for awhile now, so this was the perfect opportunity to use one - this is "North Wood Stack".

The image was colored with Copics as usual, matted on layers of cardstock, then mounted on the dp which is from Simple Stories Generations line.  The pearls were made with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen, and the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

The Paper Shelter's Team B is at work again for this weeks challenge theme of "Paper Piecing".  I choose the image Cute Dressmaker from all of the wonderful digital images that are available at The Paper Shelter's online digital store.  The dress is paper pieced with the same paper that I used to weave the card front.  The image was colored with Copics, matted, framed, than put on the card front, all cut with Spellbinders Grand Labels One.  Ribbon and flower are from my stash.

The very talented and generous Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter are offering you a fabulous prize of  $20 to spend on whatever your like in their webshop, if you use one of their gorgeous images in the challenge this week.

They have such fabulous things to offer you -  digi stamps, papers and accessories and all at such wonderful value.  If you do not use one of their images, you can still enter the challenge to win 3 of their images of your own choice.

Alice in Glitterland!!

Welcome to my first ever tutorial for One Crazy Stamper!!
This is going to be a long post, so grab a cup of coffee or tea, sit back, relax, and learn how to do the fabulous burnished velvet technique with micro fine glitter, that I have used for the front of my card!!  The image and sentiment are from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps "Alice in Wonderland" stamp, colored with Copics then fussy cut, and popped up on the glittered card front.

You will need the following items to get started - paper of your choice for the front of your card, Glitter Ritz in the colors of your choice, Scor Tape, large makeup brush, punches, fine tip tweezers, glitter clean up cloth, saved Scor tape white cover paper, and scissors.

Adhere the Scor Tape to the paper that will be the front of your card by removing the brown backing paper from the tape.  Remove the white cover paper and save for later use.  Do not touch the sticky tape with your fingers, as the oil from your hands will affect the adhesive and may cause the finished glitter to appear blotchy.

Using saved pieces of the white cover paper from the Scor Tape, punch out any shapes that you want to use, and then using the tweezers carefully apply these shapes to the front of the card.  Make sure to rub the punched pieces down on to the exposed sticky tape to prevent the glitter from adhering under the punches.

Again using saved Scor Tape pieces, cut out the center where you do not want the glitter, and adhere over the sticky tape.  Pour the first color of glitter over the sticky tape, this will be the main color of your card front.  Using your fingers rub (burnish) the glitter into the sticky tape until the entire card front is covered.  Remove the excess glitter by shaking it off and using the make up brush.
Carefully peel off the large piece of Scor Tape cover paper, cut it into strips, and then replace some of those strips, apply different glitter colors using the same method as above.  Repeat until the card front is totally covered.

To finish the card front, remove the punched shapes with tweezers, cover with the last color of glitter, burnish, shake off excess, and surprise - you have completed a beautiful burnished card front!!
I hope that you enjoyed this tutorial, and that you will try out this stunning technique as I know that you will love the finished project!!

EASTER

Hard to believe but Easter is just around the corner
 - where does the time go!  To get everyone in the mood, the challenge this fortnight at Dream Valley is EASTER!!  Our sponsor for this challenge is Meljen's Designs Digital Stamps and I have used the image "Bunny Love"

The image was colored with Copics to match the dp from My Mind's Eye's On the Bright Side - One 6 x 6 collection.  I made three matching flowers just by using fringe scissors on circles and using a brad for the center.  The Happy Easter sentiment was stamped, then I hand wrote the remainder of the sentiment for both the outside and inside of the card.  The border on the inside was cut with Memory Box's Spring Border - love these dies!!!
Check out the rest of the design teams wonderful projects at Dream Valley, and enter to win the great prize from Meljen's Designs.

May Good Luck Be Your Friend

Only three more sleeps, and then the annual drinking of green beer begins in celebration St. Patrick's Day!!!

This adorable little imp is "Young Leprechaun" from Whimsy Stamps artist Crissy Armstrong's digital stamp collection.  The image was printed on Copic Xpress It cardstock with my Epson printer, and colored with Copics.  The coins and buckles received a coat of gold glitter and the shamrock is glittered with green.  The sentiment is from Pink By Design Spring Has Sprung set, and all of the dp is from Little Yellow Bicycle's Lucky Me paper collection, including the Irish blessing.

One Crazy Stamper's Terrific Tuesday

This month's challenge at One Crazy Stamper is Birthday Wishes and I have the wonderful image "Uptown Sushi Girl Chelsea and Lauren", from Stamping Bella, to show to you.

The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Xpress It cardstock, colored with Copics, then cut and matted with a Spellbinders Die.  The sentiment is included with the image, ribbon and paper are from my stash, and I added extra shine to the table and chair legs with a Sakura Clear Star Glitter pen.  The inside of the card features Whimsy Stamps Shapeology Corner Die set.

Fishing You!

Images to make a card for a special man or boy in your life seem to be hard to find, so when I saw this Hanglar Strangler image a couple of years ago, I bought it right away and just recently colored it.  The image was colored with Copics, then matted on to several layers of patterned paper and cardstock.  The ribbon embellishment was a find at the local big box store after Christmas ( it actually has a gold shimmer on the other side ), and the tag is from an office supply store.  I hand wrote the sentiment and distressed the tag with a blue and brown ink pad.

Have You Ever Seen the Rain?

Another gorgeous image from Saturated Canary, and one of my favorite card designs - an easel card.

The image is called "Umbrella".  It was printed on Copic Xpress It cardstock with my Epson printer, colored with Copic markers, then cut and matted several times with a Spellbinders die.  Memory Box and Marianne Designs dies were used to cut the flourishes and stems, and Spellbinder's Fancy Tags Two die was used for the frame around the sentiment, which is from Art Impressions.  The dp is Basic Grey's Two Scoops/Ice Cream Parlour and Watermelon Ice, and I finally used the Epoxy Rain Drop stickers from Autumn Leaves that I have had for a long time!

Mothering Sunday

Good morning to you, and I hope that the sun is shining down on you today!
It's time for a new challenge at Dream Valley and for the next fortnight the theme is "Mother's Day" in honor of Mothering Sunday which is on March 18th this year.

Inside of card

Since I live on the other side of the pond, finding a sentiment for Mothering Sunday was a little tough so I just went with a Mother's day sentiment.  I choose to work with my first A Day for Daisies image which is entitled "Flowers for my Mom" and available here.  The image was printed with my Epson printer, colored with Copics then matted on the inside of the card.  On the front of the card I used Spellbinders Label 10 to cut a window to allow the image to be visible.  The dp's are from Memory Box's Gossamer collection, and ribbon is from my stash.
Hop on over to the Dream Valley Challenge blog to see all of the lovely projects that the rest of the design team has created, then get creative and enter your project to win!
