Mistletoe Penguins
Have you ever colored an image with one patterned paper in mind, and then changed the entire concept of the card? This card has taken me three days of hmmmm do I like it with this paper, or that paper, or maybe I should change it up completely. In the end though I absolutely love this card!!!
This adorable image is Penguins Under the Mistletoe from Whimsy Stamps, and if you follow me you know that I love all of the penguins that Crissy Armstrong does for Whimsy Stamps! I stamped the image on Copic Xpress It cardstock with My Favorite Things Hybrid Extreme Black ink, and then colored it with Copics and Prismacolor Pencils. Touches of white Sakura Glaze pen added the white highlights. The sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps - Winter Notables 1 Sentiments(an older stamp). The gorgeous die framing the Penguins is from Find It Trading company - I don't remember the name though as it is part of stash.

Friends Forever no matter the weather!
I adore penguins!!! When I see an image featuring a penguin you can be sure that I will soon add it to my collection. My all time favorite artist Crissy Armstrong designs fabulous images for Whimsy Stamps, and of course they are penguins doing everyday tasks, which I just love!!!
This adorable image is "Penguin and Pup" - can we all say awwwwww!! I wanted to color the penguin with non traditional colors to give it an antique feeling, and by using my Copics and Prismacolor pencils I think I have achieved the look I was going for.

Like the Flower
Wee Stamps Sylvia Zet is one of my favorite artists from Whimsy Stamps and this image clearly shows you why I love her images!
This is an older card I designed awhile ago and finally have the time to show you this cutie! I have colored the image with Copic sketch markers and used paper from First Edition to design the card front. The image is called "poppy" and you can purchase the image here.

Wishing you a Penguin Birthday
I have an absolute love of penguins, and I adore all of Crissy Armstrong's images, so when the two are combined, you know I have to color it! This adorable little penguin is from Whimsy Stamps and is called Penguin Birthday and can be purchased here. I have colored the image with Copic markers which match the papers perfectly, and added some Viva Decor pearls as embellishments.

Winter Wonderland
Only one more official day of summer left, then fall is here, and we all know what comes after fall ( and usually fall is short lived, at least here in Alberta ). Nights are cooling off and there is a definite nip in the air, which brings to mind the white fluffy stuff, better known as snow!!
My card today reminds us all of what is to come!
This beautiful image is the Gorjuss Rubber stamp called Toadstools, that I have colored with Copics. To make the wintery scene I have added Stampendous Frantage Shabby Blue Embossing Enamel and Stampendous Powder Blue Color Fragments. The dp is from Carta Bella and the sentiment is an older stamp from Whimsy Stamps.
Enjoy the last day of summer!!

Frosty Fun
Be prepared to see lots of penguins in my next few posts - this little cutie is another Lili of the Valley from last year's release that I just never had the chance to color, but here it is now!!
After coloring the image with Copics and putting Stickles on the snow drops, I cut the image out with a Spellbinder die and mounted in on paper from Carta Bella All Bundled Up collection. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps, snowflake die is from Memory Box, and the ribbon is from my stash.

Blue Christmas
Wow, it has been awhile since my last post - school is now finished and I finally have some time to get back to coloring and creating. Truth be told though, the card today is one that I completed earlier this year just haven't posted it until now. But I have finally returned to my craft room, so expect to see more creations from me in the future.
I love monochromatic color schemes and pair that with a gorgeous Sugar Nellie image, you get a wonderful Christmas card. The image entitled "More Hands Make Light Work" has been colored with Copics, then cut out and matted with a Spellbinder die. The dp is from Carta Bella, and the funky parenthesis are a Simon Says exclusive Memory Box die. The sentiment and snowflake die around it are from Whimsy Stamps.

Playdate Anyone?
Time for a change to a clean and simple card design today! The image today is from Whimsy Stamps artist Sandy Allnock and is entitled Tai & Lisa.
Once again, I have colored up two versions with my Copics and simply mounted them each on a bit of scrap dp paper, and then a white card base. Today's weather is suppose to bright warm and sunny, so it would be a great playdate day!!
Have a great day!!!

Think Spring!!!!
Somewhere in the world Spring has arrived! It definitely has not arrived here in Alberta, as our forecast for the next four days is snow, snow, snow and well below normal temperatures - I think everyone has seen more than enough of the white stuff!! My card today is a bright, cheerful spring themed card, that will hopefully give everyone something to look forward to.
This adorable image is from Whimsy Stamps artist Crissy Armstrong and is entitled Think Spring Bunnies. I have colored the image with Copic Sketch markers and mounted it on dp from First Edition.

For the entire month the design team has been featuring images from our sponsor company - WHIMSY STAMPS, and my card today has a wonderful Elisabeth Bell image called Beauty.
Once again I have used Copic sketch markers to color the image, and then I used a Sakura Stardust pen to add highlight to the mermaid tail ( you probably can't see the shine of the fins, but it looks great ! ). I used my Grand Calibur and a Grand die to cut the shape of the card, then layered paper from Authentique's Renew collection for added color. The ribbon and sentiment are from my stash.

A Very Scary Sight!!!
Wow, hard to believe but it's only a couple of more weeks until one of my favorite holidays will be here - I love Halloween almost as much as Christmas - the ghosts and goblins will be out prowling the streets. My card this week features the adorable image Hazel from Whimsy Stamps Wee Stamps collection, and fits the theme for this months challenge at One Crazy Stamper.
I colored the image with Copics then cut it out with a Spellbinders die, then used an Antique Linen Distress Ink pad to color the background. The edges of the die shape were also inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The dp is from My Mind's Eye Happy Haunting collection, which is also where the "Scary" word came from. I used two Memory Box dies to cut the spider web and spider for the corner of the card front. The hints of glitter on the spider were created with a Sakura Star Dust pen.
