Beautiful Holiday Season

Wow here's another older card that I just loved making.  The image is from Sugar Nellie, and I colored her with Copic markers, then cut the image out with a Spellbinder die.  I made an oval easel card and added a Memory Box die, white Flower soft, Stampendous Frantage Embossing enamel, and touches of Wink of Stella clear and silver to the card front to complete the look.

Holiday Cheer

It's time to show off another companies gorgeous image, and the image today is from Sugar Nellie.  I have colored the image with Copics, used Smooch over the wings to add glimmer ( which does not show in this photo ), then added touches of blue glimmer with a Sakura Metallic Gel pen, before using a Spellbinder die to cut the image and the surrounding mat.  The dp is from Simple Stories Handmade Holiday collection, the corner snowflake die is from Memory Box, and the sentiment and frame are from Whimsy Stamp.

Blue Christmas

Wow, it has been awhile since my last post - school is now finished and I finally have some time to get back to coloring and creating.  Truth be told though, the card today is one that I completed earlier this year just haven't posted it until now.  But I have finally returned to my craft room, so expect to see more creations from me in the future.

I love monochromatic color schemes and pair that with a gorgeous Sugar Nellie image, you get a wonderful Christmas card.  The image entitled "More Hands Make Light Work" has been colored with Copics, then cut out and matted with a Spellbinder die.  The dp is from Carta Bella, and the funky parenthesis are a Simon Says exclusive Memory Box die.  The sentiment and snowflake die around it are from Whimsy Stamps.

Magical First Birthday

Today's card is another special order for a friend who's niece was turning one a couple of months ago, and I didn't get a chance to post it back then, so here it is!

This gorgeous image is from Sugar Nellie - I colored it up with my Copic markers, then mounted it on paper from my stash.  The green border is a Spellbinder die and the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.  I fussy cut some of the flowers from the patterned paper and popped them up on the card front.

Jolly Old St Nick?????!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas, oops, I mean Happy Easter to You!!  Yes, it is once again snowing here in sunny Alberta!!!  A heavy snowfall warning was issued a couple of hours ago, and the white stuff just keeps on falling, so for today's card I am getting in the holiday spirit by showcasing a Christmas card!

HO HO HO Everyone!!!!

This adorable image is from Sugar Nellie, and was colored with Copics, then fussy cut and mounted on dp from Simple Stories.  The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley, snowflakes are punches from a couple of companies, and the doily behind Santa and friends is a Cheery Lynn die.  Santa's fur trim received a layer of white flocking powder to add that hint of softness.

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter!!!

Christmas Love

Time to show another Christmas creation using a Sugar Nellie ( Funky Kits ) image!

Today's card is "On the Wings of Love", a digital image available at Funky Kits.  After printing the image on Copic Xpress It paper, and coloring it with Copics, I used a Spellbinder die to cut the finished image. Smooch Illuminate Top Coat adds shimmer to the wings, blue pearls created with a Viva Décor Pearl pen and hints of gold added with a Metallic pen add the finishing touches to the image. The dp is from Carta Bella, and the snowflake border is from Whimsy Stamps

The Kid in Us All

Once again I have used my Copic markers to color today's card, which is another digital image from Sugar Nellie entitled "Penguin Party".

After the image was colored I used Polar White Flower soft on the fur of the hat, and added sparkle to the ribbon and presents with a Sakura Clear Star pen.

Fun and Excitement

So for today's post I have another Sugar Nellie digital image entitled Gift Wrapping - the image was part of the Winter Wonderland release, but since there was nothing on the image that screamed Christmas, I choose to color her up in bright spring colors.

I colored her with Copics, added sparkle with a Sakura Star pen, Smooch Illuminate on the wings, and added gold pearls throughout the card front with a Viva Décor Pearl pen.  The card base was made using multiple Spellbinders Grand Dies.  The sentiment is from Your Next Stamp.

Elfie Christmas!

As promised last week here's another Sugar Nellie digital image that I colored up with my Copics!  This is Elf Made Magic.

After coloring the image I used Smooch to give sparkle to the wings, some of the  Spellbinders Holly accent dies, and a gold Viva Decor Pearl pen to add depth to the card front.  The sentiment is an older Just Rite stamp that I colored with matching Copic colors, then inked with an Antique Linen Distress ink pad.  The dp is from Carta Bella's So This Is Christmas collection.

Getting a Jump Start

It's a little early to start showing off Christmas cards for next year, but that's what I have for today!  I actually had this image and several others colored up and ready to make into cards early in December, but then life got in the way, and everything got put on the back burner.

This beautiful digital image is from Sugar Nellie and is entitled "TIME TOGETHER", and is one of several newer images that were released just in time for the holiday season.  I have colored the images with Copic Sketch markers, then cut and matted it using a Spellbinder die.  The dp is from Carta Bella, snowflakes are from Maya Road, sentiment is from Lili of the Valley, and the jute trim is a recent purchase from a local big box store.
I have a few other cards ready to post using the Sugar Nellie images, so stayed tuned for more!

Style

Today was the first official day of summer, and I've had this card done for awhile and thought that today would be a great day to show it.  This is Sugar Nellie's "Trip to the Park" which I colored with Copics.  The dp, punch, and sentiment are all from my stash, while the Daisy border is a Memory Box die.
I hope that everyone enjoyed this first day of summer!!

Pretty Pink Birthday Princess!!!

Here's a cute little card for the special little girl in your life!  I stamped "Birthday Princess" from Sugar Nellie on Copic Xpress It paper, and colored it with Copics.  The image and mat were cut with Spellbinders Label 16, diamond glaze makes the balloon shine, flowers are from Prima, and the ribbon is white seam binding, that I inked with a couple of ink pads to match the colors of the dress.

Pippi

One of my New Year's resolutions is to start inking all of the wonderful stamps that I have collected in the past year that have not even been out of the package.  For those of you who know me, you'll know that my stamp collection is quite massive, so if I stick to the plan I might make a small dent in my inventory!!!  Here's my first attempt...

This is Pippi Longsocks from Sugar Nellie, colored with Copic Sketch markers.  The dp is from the Bo Bunny Ad Lib Collection, flowers are Prima, ribbon is from my stash, and the sentiment is from a Kraftin' Kimmie sentiment set.  The center of each flower is one of my favorite techniques, a pop up glue dot covered with micro beads, looks just like a licorice allsort candy.

It's Not a Pickle!!

I still have one more card featuring Pickle the Penguin, but that's for tomorrow's post - today is for another sweet penguin image - this is "Warm Winter Wishes" from Sugar Nellie - love it!!!

The image was colored with Copics, and the dp is from Die Cuts With a View Winter Wonder stack.  Ribbon is from my stash, the snowflakes are Jolee's, and I used Flower Soft Polar White for the trim on the hat.  For the first time I am entering this card into the Sugar Nellie challenge, which this week is a wonderful sketch.

My First Sugar Nellie!!

Yes, I finally gave in to the desire to add some of the super sweet images from Sugar Nellie to my collection!  My first Sugar Nellie card features "Wish Upon a Star" and was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Xpress It paper, and then colored with Copics.  All of the markers I used are from the "E" family of colors, except for Y26, Y28 and R89 for the stars.

I used a bronze gel pen to highlight the flowers in her hair, details on the wings, the bells, and the trim on the bottom of the skirt.  The layers of papers were distressed with an edge tool, inked with Vintage Distress Ink, and outlined with bronze glitter glue.  The Prima flower was brushed with the same bronze glitter glue, and the sentiment was embossed with copper.  Coffee colored pearls and Prima lace complete the card.
This is my card for the dt at Dream Valley Challenges - this fortnight the challenge is Monochromatic.  Please check out the beautiful cards that the rest of the team have designed for this challenge, and then play along with us!!!
