Beautiful Holiday Season

Wow here's another older card that I just loved making.  The image is from Sugar Nellie, and I colored her with Copic markers, then cut the image out with a Spellbinder die.  I made an oval easel card and added a Memory Box die, white Flower soft, Stampendous Frantage Embossing enamel, and touches of Wink of Stella clear and silver to the card front to complete the look.

October Blog Hop

October 1st is here; the children have been back in school for a month, Christmas is getting closer  and we have a new challenge at OCS as well as another blog hop.  The challenge theme is Christmas/Halloween/Fall.  Remember you  can have up to 5 entries, but no digital stamps.  The challenge prize will be two High Hopes Rubber Stamps of the winner's choice.

We are still celebrating the "Joys of the Seasons", the newest release of Christmas/Halloween/Fall rubber stamps from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

While we are continuing this celebration of this newest release of Christmas/Halloween/Fall rubber stamps the gals from both the High Hopes and OCS Design Teams are hosting another Blog Hop from the 1st to the 5th of this month and and winner/winners will be chosen on the 7th.  Make sure you visit each gal to see what new release they have on their blog and then go back to the challenge posts and leave a comment on the OCS or High Hopes blogs.  Make sure you check the posts for both OCS and High Hopes blogs on the 7th to see if you are the winner.

This cutie is "Frankie" available here.  I have colored the image with Copics, then fussy cut and adhered it to the card front that features the Wonky Squares Spellbinders die, a sentiment from High Hopes Stamps available here, and some orange pearls made with a Viva Décor pen.

Freezin' Season Coming Soon!!

Well the weather here in Alberta has been a roller coaster the past week - Saturday was 29, Monday was a balmy 5, and today...... only Mother Nature knows!!!   Monday's weather definitely made me think of snow, so coloring this image was no problem.

This little cutie and her friend is Skating Snowlady from High Hopes rubber stamps and is available at One Crazy Stamper.  I have colored the image with Copic markers using the Colorless Blender to add dots to the scarf and mittens.  The blades of the skates received a coating of Wink of Stella silver, while the pompoms on the hats of both the skater and the little bird have Flower Soft Polar White details.  The sentiment from High Hopes rubber stamps is also available here, and I added Stickles to the ice that is part of the sentiment.

Today I wanted to take the opportunity to tell you all about this fabulous tool that is available to supplement your Copic coloring.  A couple of months ago, I started seeing a lot of coloring bloggers talking about this wonderful Hex Chart that Sandy Allnock designed featuring Copic markers  arranged by colors, not numbers.  Wow is all that I can say!!!!  This fabulous chart has opened a whole new world of options in color combinations that I would have never thought to use together.  Here's a sneak peek of what it looks like -

The chart is available to purchase through Sandy Allnock's website at http://sandyallnock.com/hexchart.  If you love coloring you will love this chart!!

I Like....

Today is often referred to as Throwback Thursday, so as a salute to that, my card today is not a throwback card, but the subject is definitely from another decade - welcome to Throwback Thursday 80's style.

This sweet image is Stamping Bella's Uptown Girl Farrah Loves Flashdance available here.  I colored the image with Copic Sketch Markers, added Judikins Diamond Glaze to her bubble, Wink of Stella silver accents on the stereo, and randomly drew lines around the entire image with a Sakura Clear Star pen.  After cutting the image and surrounding mat with a Spellbinder die, the image was then mounted on older Fancy Pants paper.  The musical notes were cut with Memory Box dies, and the sentiment is included with the image.

Beautiful Eyes

Have you ever had an image and the included sentiment just tell you that you had to have it?!!!  That's what happened to me when I saw this gorgeous set from Stamping Bella entitled Uptown Girl AUDREY Loves MAKEUP.

The image has been colored with Copic sketch markers, and the lipstick cover and purse closure both have Wink of Stella silver highlights added to them.  The dp and pearl embellishment is from my stash.  Love it!!

Hockey Time

It was a beautiful warm (+10C) day here in Alberta, with more double digit temperatures expected into the weekend, so I'm hoping my fellow Albertans are out enjoying this unexpected surprise.

It's not very often that you see an image with a hockey player, so when this one came up on Mo's Digital Pencil I had to rush right over and grab it.  Love Mo Manning images and this one is definitely one of my favorites.  I loved it so much that I colored up three different versions!!!

Head on over to the Mos' Digital Pencil website and check out all the wonderful images that Mo has created including Lil' Hockey Guy!!!
