A Very Merry Christmas to You

Merry Christmas Eve to All!!  My card today features another wonderful Stampendous House Mouse image from One Crazy Stamper.

The image is colored with Copics, and then I used a Sakura Glaze pen to add white highlights.  After cutting the image out with a Spellbinders Grand die, I used the gold Viva Décor Pearl Pen to create dimension, and also ran the card base through the Grand Calibur with an M-bossibilites folder.  The sentiment is from Just Rite Stamps, stamped with Ranger Distress Ink crushed olive.  Here's the colors of Copics that I used -

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and all the Best in 2014!!!

Christmas Cardinal

Only one more week to go until it's Christmas Eve - where has this year gone!!!  For todays post for One Crazy Stamper I have used the beautiful Christmas Cardinal from Just Rite Stamps.

For this card front, I stamped the image three separate times - the first with brown ink on the gold cardstock which is the base - I cut out the oval in the center of this base to create the opening for the blue background.  The second image was stamped and embossed with brown embossing powder on the same gold cardstock.  After the embossing cooled, I rubbed Old Gold Viva Decor Inka Gold over the raised pattern, then fussy cut the resulting frame which is raised up with pop dots.  The final stamped images are the cardinal and sentiment frame. I colored the cardinal with Copics, fussy cut,  and then attached to the card front.  Sakura's white Glaze pen added the final highlights to the berrries, and the snowflake dots on the blue central oval.

Greens - YG93, YG95, YG99

Saying Goodbye is Never Easy

For the last fifteen and half years I have had a beautiful little shadow, who followed me faithfully wherever I went, and loved me unconditionally, and today I had to say goodbye to my first little foo foo!  It is with a very heavy heart that I made the decision to let her leave this world, but for her it was time to say goodbye, and I let her go with all my love and gratitude for her years of love and support!!

Goodbye until we meet again sweet Zoe.

Metallic Chirstmas Tags

It's time for me to share a tutorial with you for One Crazy Stamper, and this month I decided to play with the Viva Décor Inka Golds.  This product comes in a variety of colors and the ease of use is wonderful!!   I have two techniques to show you, and there are lots of photos, so grab a cup of coffee, and enjoy!!!

I started by embossing tags with various Cuttlebug and Sizzix folders, then I placed a dab of two different Inka Golds on a splat mat.  By adding a small amount of water to the two colors I brushed over the embossed tags with random strokes of each color, blending them together.

Once the tag dried, I used a piece of paper towel to burnish the Inka Gold blended colors, giving the tag that metallic finish.

For the following tag, I first used the water technique with the Inka Gold, and then placed a mask of a large snowflake over the finished result.  By using the Inka Gold with my fingertip, I placed a heavier layer of the product on the tag front.

After adding some other embellishments, here's the finished tags.

The next technique, uses the Inka Golds straight out of the jars to add metallic finishes to  various parts of a card.  Using the Grand Calibur, I cut and debossed one of the Spellbinders Imperial Gold Dies ( debossing is the effect of the design being pressed into the paper - not raised ).

I also used the Grand Calibur and a magnetic sheet to emboss all of the Spellbinder Imperial Gold Ivy dies onto a card front.  Using my finger I then rubbed the resulting pattern, highlighting the raised embossing.

To complete the card front I randomly rubbed two different colors of the Inka Gold to get a third color blend.

To finish off the card front I stamped a Penny Black Christmas sentiment from the Glad Tidings stamp set, with Staz - On ink in the center of the gold octagon ( after using the Inka Gold, you will need to use Staz - On to prevent smudging ).  I also stamped a Penny Black Christmas Wishes image and colored it with Copics.  A Memory Box die and some lace complete the card.

Grab some of these wonderful products over at One Crazy Stamper and have fun playing with them - oh yeah, clean up is so easy just some water and paper towels will clean up any mess any may make!

Christmas Cuddles!!!

Time to get those Christmas cards out to all of your family and friends, and I can finally show off some of the cards I made earlier this year ( had to plan ahead as I knew that my knee replacement would knock the creative mojo out of me ).

I still have a couple of Wild Rose Studios stamps featuring Pickles the Penguin that I never got the chance to color up and make into cards, and this image it one!!  For this Cuddles image I used Distress inks to color them, then added Flower Soft Polar White to the hats to add that extra fluff!!  The ribbon is from the local big box craft store, the white poinsettia are from Wild Orchid, and the dp is unknown ( guess that is what happens when you make things ahead of time ).

Welcome to another Terrifi Tuesday for One Crazy Stamper, and in keeping with the monthly challenge theme of WINTER/HOLIDAY, my card today features one of the adorable Wild Rose Studio stamps entitled Building a Snowman.

After coloring the image with Copic Sketch Markers, I used several designer papers from Bo Bunny Powder Mountain collection, and a Memory Box die - Frostyville Border to add depth and dimension.

Welcome to the first day of the last month of 2013 - where did the year go?  Since it's a new month that means it's time to announce the new challenge theme at One Crazy Stamper, and this month we would love to see your WINTER projects.

For my card today I have stamped up one of the new Stampendous House Mouse designs cling stamp entitled - "Berrying Gifts" with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic Xpress It cardstock, and then colored the image with Copics.  To make the scene nice and wintery I used white Liquid Applique and glitter to add all of the snow, and used the Sakura white glaze pen to add white highlights on the berries and eyes of the animals.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps Snowflake Mini Letter Seals, and the pine border punch is from Martha Stewart.
