Christmas Trio

Wednesday has come again, so it's time for me to share my latest creation for One Crazy Stamper.  The new release Woodsy Christmas has arrived at the store, and is available for purchase, but alas Canada Post is slow in getting my stamps to me so....... in the meantime I have an older image to share with you all.

This image is Three Pane Christmas from High Hopes Rubber stamps that I have stamped on to Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento ink, and then colored with my Copic sketch markers.  Once I fussy cut the image out, it was placed on a card front that features an older Cuttlebug embossing folder, some Carta Bella paper, and a My Favorite Things sentiment.

Card Recipe - E00, E01, E11, E23, E25, E27, E40, E42, E43B02, R20, R29, R39, R59, 100, 0, Y23, Y28, G24, G29, C2, BG0000

Rough and Tumble

Another beautiful day here in Sunny Alberta, and I have finished painting my bedroom as well as spent time painting my son's fence ( it will be a couple of more days before that job is completed).  Now it's time to get creative and color up some new cards - here's another that I finished recently.

This adorable image is from Karen's Doodles - I have printed it on Copic Xpress It paper, then colored with Copic Sketch markers.  The card front features paper from Prima's Engraver collection, and some distressed paper that I ran through my Cuttlebug with a wood grain embossing folder.  A couple of nail brads and a sentiment from my stash finish off the card.

Just BEE-ing Me

One full week into the new year, and I hope everyone had a great holiday season and are ready to get to creating wonderful projects.  For this week's Terrific Tuesday post for One Crazy Stamper I have a super cute card!

My card features an image and sentiment from YOUR NEXT STAMP Smiley Happy Critter Crew Set Three.  I stamped the bee on Copic X-press It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with my Copic sketch markers, then added Judikins Diamond Glaze to the eyes, and Stardust Stickles to the wings for added dimension.  After fussy cutting the image I matted it with black cardstock and popped it up on the card front with pop dots.  The card front and interior feature dp from Bo Bunny's Zip-a-dee-doodle collection.  The bee's flight path was created with a black Viva Decor Pearl Pen, while the border was created by embossing a strip of black cardstock, and then highlighting the design with the jade Viva Decor Inka Gold.

Card Recipe
Yellow - Y11, Y15, Y17
Black - 100

New Year, New Challenge

Welcome to a New Year and a new challenge theme for One Crazy Stamper!

To kick off this new year, we have a wonderful sponsor for this months ANYTHING GOES challenge and that is YOUR NEXT STAMP.

My card features one of the cute images from the Smile Happy Critter Crew Set Three stamp set.  I have colored the image with Copics, then fussy cut it and adhered it to the card front.  The card front was created by first using Copic Various Refills colors BG57 and G94 on a sheet of acrylic ( re purposed from packaging from a Spellbinder ) - I randomly added dots of color to one side of the acrylic and then allowed the colors to blend together by tilting the sheet.  After the colors dried, the sheet was run through my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder.  To finish the card front, I stamped the included sentiment and cut the talk bubble, and added buttons for bubbles.

Card Recipe
Blues - B24, B26, B29
Yellows - Y11, Y15, Y17
Oranges - YR02, YR04, YR07
Eyes - YG01
Colors on Acrylic - BG57, G94

Metallic Chirstmas Tags

It's time for me to share a tutorial with you for One Crazy Stamper, and this month I decided to play with the Viva Décor Inka Golds.  This product comes in a variety of colors and the ease of use is wonderful!!   I have two techniques to show you, and there are lots of photos, so grab a cup of coffee, and enjoy!!!

I started by embossing tags with various Cuttlebug and Sizzix folders, then I placed a dab of two different Inka Golds on a splat mat.  By adding a small amount of water to the two colors I brushed over the embossed tags with random strokes of each color, blending them together.

Once the tag dried, I used a piece of paper towel to burnish the Inka Gold blended colors, giving the tag that metallic finish.

For the following tag, I first used the water technique with the Inka Gold, and then placed a mask of a large snowflake over the finished result.  By using the Inka Gold with my fingertip, I placed a heavier layer of the product on the tag front.

After adding some other embellishments, here's the finished tags.

The next technique, uses the Inka Golds straight out of the jars to add metallic finishes to  various parts of a card.  Using the Grand Calibur, I cut and debossed one of the Spellbinders Imperial Gold Dies ( debossing is the effect of the design being pressed into the paper - not raised ).

I also used the Grand Calibur and a magnetic sheet to emboss all of the Spellbinder Imperial Gold Ivy dies onto a card front.  Using my finger I then rubbed the resulting pattern, highlighting the raised embossing.

To complete the card front I randomly rubbed two different colors of the Inka Gold to get a third color blend.

To finish off the card front I stamped a Penny Black Christmas sentiment from the Glad Tidings stamp set, with Staz - On ink in the center of the gold octagon ( after using the Inka Gold, you will need to use Staz - On to prevent smudging ).  I also stamped a Penny Black Christmas Wishes image and colored it with Copics.  A Memory Box die and some lace complete the card.

Grab some of these wonderful products over at One Crazy Stamper and have fun playing with them - oh yeah, clean up is so easy just some water and paper towels will clean up any mess any may make!

Happy Hippo Birthday

Today's Birthday themed card for the monthly challenge at One Crazy Stamper is a clean and simple design!

The card base is just a piece of yellow cardstock with a layer of dp from Echo Park Paper's Beautiful Life collection, and finished with a piece of white cardstock embossed with an older Cuttlebug folder.  A simple piece of ribbon was wrapped around the embossed paper before it was adhered to the card front.  The adorable image is one of three included on the Whimsy Stamps Happy Birthday to You set available here
The Copic colors that I have used are shown in the below photo -

Be sure to check out the wonderful prize that you could win just by entering a birthday themed card in One Crazy Stamper's monthly challenge.  We are also looking for guest designer's for the coming months, so please check out all of the details here.
