In the United States Thanksgiving is celebrated in late November, and while it is also about being thankful for the harvest and people in their lives, they also celebrate the history of the pilgrams that settled in their country. This card that I designed uses the<a href="https://klmdigitaldesign.com/shop/ols/products/pilgrim-girldigital-stamppaper-crafting-suppliesclear-stampsstamping-suppliescard-making-supplies"> Pilgram Girl</a> image from KLM Digital Designs. We have brought in all of the tomatoes, and I am slowly cutting down the perennials in preparation of winter slumber. Yesterday I planted about 80 bulbs of various spring bulbs, and still have about 80 to go in the ground! Yes I went a little crazy buying bulbs!!</div><div><div style="text-align: center;">To celebrate the season I have colored up the <a href="https://klmdigitaldesign.com/shop/ols/products/digital-stamppaper-crafting-suppliesclear-stampsstamping-suppliescard-making-supplies">Pumpkin Girl </a>digital image from KLM Digital Designs. It's a perfect day to stay inside to avoid the smoke that has descended on us here in southern British Columbia. It is so bad that Canada Post has halted all deliveries of mail!! I feel so bad for everyone dealing with the fires in western states!! Stay safe everyone!!</div><div style="text-align: center;">Today's card is another adorable image from KLM Digital Designs - Gnomes and Pets! This is just one of the newest designs available today in the store - Basketball Player. I printed the image onto Copic Xpress It cardstock, and then colored it with Copic markers. The sentiment is also a part of the stamp set, so it was easy to merge the two into one image. I kept the card clean and simple, and it would be a perfect card for the special teenager in your life!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fRYhiRBCL5w/X0rDsIQ8eBI/AAAAAAAAHss/OnLrFbfSB6o6-jcWfkj8JsIaCsMQNd3CgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1024/004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="1016" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fRYhiRBCL5w/X0rDsIQ8eBI/AAAAAAAAHss/OnLrFbfSB6o6-jcWfkj8JsIaCsMQNd3CgCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/004.JPG" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Card Recipe</div><div style="text-align: center;">Skin - E00, E01, E11</div><div style="text-align: center;">Green Trim - G09, G19</div><div style="text-align: center;">Blue - B14, B16, B18</div><div style="text-align: center;">Basketball - YR15, YR18, YR27 </div><div style="text-align: center;">Dots on basketball - E99</div><div style="text-align: center;">Hair - N5, N7, N10</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FSXzSkY-6C0/X0Mm-MUg2XI/AAAAAAAAHr8/v6uJouaXI1Qe5HqCHKTsX0tcRz828ylwwCLcBGAsYHQ/s550/Dragonfly%2B1%2BSignature.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="241" data-original-width="550" height="193" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FSXzSkY-6C0/X0Mm-MUg2XI/AAAAAAAAHr8/v6uJouaXI1Qe5HqCHKTsX0tcRz828ylwwCLcBGAsYHQ/w440-h193/Dragonfly%2B1%2BSignature.png" width="440" /></a></div><div><br /></div>Sharihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08601150983478036193noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3910831629635753987.post-53030239701239062532020-08-29T14:26:00.002-07:002020-08-29T14:26:50.639-07:00Thank You to Firefighters Everywhere<div style="text-align: center;">This post is to salute the firefighters around the world who battle all types of fire. Living in the beautiful Kootenay's of British Columbia, every summer we seem to be surrounded by forest fires, and this year is proving a little too close to home. Just a short 15 kilometres away we have the Talbot Creek fire raging - close to 300 hectares have been lost and the fight continues. Some days we have smoke and the smell of the fires, others are not too bad. </div><div style="text-align: center;">My card today features another gnome from KLM Digital Designs - <a href="https://klmdigitaldesign.com/shop/ols/products/fireman-2-gnome-digital-stamp">Fireman #2 Gnome</a>!! I printed the image onto Copic Xpress It cardstock, colored with Copics, and then fussy cut the image out. The card front was created on watercolor paper with the use of Color Bursts and Liquid Metals from Ken Oliver. When the delivery truck pulls into our driveway, it's always a guessing game as it whose home he is going to pull up to - will it be my daughter's mother-in-law place, or our house!! And if it's our house, is the package for myself or my daughter!! I think we all take turns ordering, just to keep the delivery people in business!!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is a slider card I designed using the<a href="https://klmdigitaldesign.com/shop/ols/products/delivery-gnome-digital-stamp"> Delivery Gnome from KLM Digital Designs.</a> I used the Lawn Fawn Large Slimline with Sliders die to cut the card front, and the slider. For the background I dug through my older stamps, and found a couple of Hero Arts sets that included the houses and trees, that formed my city street. The entire card is colored with Copic markers., and the sentiment is included with the gnome image.</div>

I adore the gnome images from <a href="https://klmdigitaldesign.com/">KLM Digital Designs</a>, and if you haven't checked them out you really should. Not only do they have digital images, but now they are also making Photopolymer stamps, and for the month of July they are having a sale. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
One of the newest images available in both digital and Photopolymer is this adorable <a href="https://klmdigitaldesign.com/shop/ols/search?keywords=chef">Chef Gnome</a>!! I printed in onto Copic Xpress It cardstock, and then colored it with Copic markers. I found the clip art online, and printed it out to make the background, on which I placed the fussy cut colored image. The sentiment is one from my stash.</div>

Over the last few days I have been coloring this beautiful Mandala from KLM Digital Designs. It was so relaxing to just color and not worry about the shading, although I did do a little bit of shading on a couple of layers. KLM Digital Designs has a wide variety of images available to color, including the adorable gnomes. Check out the store<a href="https://klmdigitaldesign.com/shop"> here.</a></div>

Today I'm sharing a card that I made using the beautiful <a href="https://klmdigitaldesign.com/shop/ols/products/lily-digital-stamp">Lily</a> from KLM Digital Designs. Both the image and sentiment are part of the digital set that I printed on Copic Xpress It cardstock, and then colored with Copic markers. I added some Nuvo Jewel Drops in Sea Breeze to replicate raindrops, and used a thin black marker to make stitching lines around the entire design.</div>

Finally had the time to finish these cute cards that I will be sharing with our family doctors! The image is Medical Gnome available <a href="https://klmdigitaldesign.com/shop/ols/products/medical-gnome-digital-stamp">here</a>. I colored the image up with Copics, then fussy cut it and placed it on the card front that uses free clip art from the net! The inspiration for the background was not mine, I have seen several people use the same thing on their cards. </div>

I printed the image onto watercolor paper, colored it with Inktense Pencils, and then fussy cut it out. The sentiment was stamped with an oldie from my stash - Paper Inspirations - then double matted, before attaching the floral banner to one side. I then popped up the entire card front onto my card base, which was also double matted. A beautiful birthday card for my stash!!!</div>
