Lady of Glamour

Here she is - the last of the four images featuring Kraftin Kimmie's July Release of movie superstars.  This is "Lana"!!!!

As usual, she is colored with Copics, then cut and matted with Spellbinders Label 4 dies, including the Grand dies set.  The sentiment is included with the image and is highlighted with bright pink ink.  I also used the Sakura Star Dust pen to add sparkles to her dress.  The dp's are from My Mind's Eye Meadowlark, and American Crafts Amy Tangerine Sketchbook collection.  Rhinestones and the decorative button are from my stash.

You still have a couple of days to enter the challenge at One Crazy Stamper to win an awesome prize - for full details please click here.

Ragged Santa

Penny Black has some of the wonderful images of Mo Manning available as stamps, and this is one of the slapstick/cling Christmas images - "Ragged Santa".

I have painted the image with distress inks, then distressed the edges of the entire card with both inks and a distress tool.  I even took the distress tool to the image itself which can seem a little daunting, but really gives a wonderful antique look.  The dp is from My Mind's Eye Merry collection, sentiment is from Waltzingmouse, and the ribbon was purchased after last Christmas - love clearance sales!!

Bella and Bronte's Challenge - #149 Distressing

The flowers are from Prima, and the centers are created with pop up glue dots and microbeads! This would be a great card to give to that special little someone in your life!!

TPS#78 Anything Goes

Another two weeks have flown by which means it's time for Team B to showcase the adorable images available at The Paper Shelter in the 78th challenge.  The theme for the next week is the ever popular "Anything Goes"and the wonderful folks at TPS are once again offering a terrific prize!

The image and paper that I am featuring is part of the Happy Times - Mega Pack, just one of three images and papers in the pack.  I have colored the image with Copics, cut the oval with a Spellbinders die, then inked and popped up the finished image on to the dp which I printed out on my Epson printer.  Faux stitches and a Whimsy Stamps sentiment complete the card.

Twinkle!!

Terrific Tuesday time again for One Crazy Stamper and I have the third of four cards that I have finished using the Kraftin' Kimmie stamps from the July release, and the ongoing theme for this month's bingo challenge!  ( This uses the diagional line of pink & black, die cuts/punches and ribbon/twine ).
This is "Marilyn" and is available to purchase here.

The image is colored with Copics, fussy cut and popped up on the card front dp from My Mind's Eye.  The stars were punched with Martha Stewart's Anywhere punch and the black ribbon border is a die from Marianne Designs.  All of the stars received a coat of Icicle Stickles to make them twinkle!! ( and yes the same color of stickles were used on the white stars and the black stars on the sentiment ).

Super Mom to the Rescue!!!!

This is a re-post for this challenge.  Due to a family emergency Mayzy had to delay the original challenge, but the good news is it is now up and running, and you have until August 24 to participate!!!

Time for the next MayzyArt challenge, and for this fortnight the theme is Silly!
This is Super Mom available at the MayzyArt etsy store here.  I have colored the image with Copics, and mounted it onto dp that I enhanced with Stickles.  The cool sentiment is part of a stamp set, and the other words were doodles I did!  Check out the other design team members projects and enter to win the challenge.

Two Posts Today and another card for tomorrow's class!!!

I have always loved Lili of the Valley stamps, and this years first Christmas release has not been a disappointment.  This is my third card for the class tomorrow, and it features another adorable image entitled "Ice Skating".

I have used distress ink re-inkers and a water brush to paint the image, then matted it on cardstock to coordinate with the dp's, which are from Authentique's Festive collection - Merry and Glistening.  The lace is from a local big box craft store ( now I wish I had purchased more ), and the embossed sentiment is from an old holiday stamp set from My Sentiments Exactly.  I love the finished look of this card, and will definitely be making a few more to send to family and friends this year.

Shine a Light

Here's the second card for this weeks class on distress ink painting.  The card again features a Lili of the Valley image - this one is called "Light the Way".

Wishing you a happy Sunday wherever you are!

Did someone say Christmas?

Time to finally start making some cards for the most wonderful time of the year, and for the first card I've colored up a Lili of the Valley image from their latest release.  This will be one of three cards for an upcoming class.

This is "Christmas Star" that I stamped with Versa Fine Onyx Black ink on watercolor paper, and then colored with Distress Inks.  The snow received a coat of Icicle stickles, the sentiment and ribbon are from my stash, and the border was done with a Martha Stewart punch.

TPS #76- Circles

Welcome to the next challenge at The Paper Shelter, and a big hello to the new design team members who have joined in the fun !!  This week the theme is "Circles" and I have colored up the gorgeous image "A Mucha Influence - Summer" available here.

After coloring the image with Copics, I wanted to give the card the look of stained glass, so I left the center untouched and painted the rest of the image with Rock Candy Distress Crackle paint.  When the crackle was dry, I lightly rubbed some Antique Linen distress ink over it to highlight the cracks.  The clear drops around the center frame are clear acrylic decorative fillers from the local big box store.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.
The Paper Shelter offers a wonderful prize for the winner of the challenge - if you use one of their adorable images you could win a $20.00 gift certificate, but if you use another image you can still win a prize of three digital images of your choice from the store.  For more details please check out the challenge blog here, and leave some love for the newest members of both Team A and B while you are there!!

Celtic March

It's time to show off the next page that I just completed for the 2013 calendar, and this time it's for March.  Since St. Patrick's day falls in March I have Copic colored the Celtic Angel from Crafts and Me.

I started by merging the angel image with the March calendar template, then printing the entire thing on a section of Bo Bunny's Ambrosia Lily paper.  The shelf that the angel is sitting on is colored with Copics then covered with Clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint, to give it an antique finish.  Another angel was printed out on Copic Xpress It paper, colored with Copics and fussy cut.  The wings received a coat of Delta's Sheer Silver Glaze, and a jade colored glitter pen was used to accent the dots in her hair, before the image was popped up on the original image.

Just the Right Sentiment

Okay, I have to admit that this card has been sitting on my desk awaiting a sentiment for over a week now ( or maybe it just kept getting lost in my pile of creative stuff LOL!!! ).   I made this card for the Link Up For Pink sketch challenge, and today is the last day to enter, so it was time to finish it off.

This Copic colored image is "Warrior Princess" from Kenny K's digital images, and when I saw her I immediately knew that I was going to use her for a breast cancer warrior!!!
Here's the inside sentiment -
