Caroling Canadians

I'll admit it - I'm a bit of a planner, so I make Christmas cards year round in the hopes that I will have a stack to send out come December.  Of course it never fails though - I get a bunch made and someone buys them all in November so once again I have none - sigh!

This card features one of my all time favorite images from High Hopes Rubber Stamps because who doesn't love a moose and a beaver!  This is Mudzie and Chopper's Caroling (S205) available here.  I stamped the image on watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink, then colored it with Inktense pencils and a water brush.  All of the edges of the papers were distressed with the Prima Comfort Distress Tool and then inked with a Antique Linen ink pad.  The treble clef die is from my stash, and the sentiment was printed right on the ribbon - bonus!!

Another Geek

Welcome back to my Tuesday post for One Crazy Stamper, and this week I am once again featuring a geek, but unlike the boy computer geek that I featured a couple of weeks ago, this time I have a geekie girl!

This sweet little study girl is "Geekin It" by Saturated Canary stamps, that I have colored only with the E family of Copics ( okay the glasses are colored with B0000, but that's the only non E color ).  The glasses and the apple are coated with Judikins Diamond Glaze.  All of the layers of mats of cardstock and designer paper are machine stitched, then inked with Vintage Photo Distress ink, and the ribbon and chalk board are from my stash.

There is still lots of time to enter to win a fabulous set of stamps from One Crazy Stamper, just by entering your Anything Goes project in this month's challenge.

Comfort and Strength

It's a new month which means it's time to announce the new challenge theme at One Crazy Stamper, and this month we are bringing back the most popular theme of Anything Goes

I don't know anyone that doesn't struggle with creating a sympathy card, but this one actually came together quite easily.  I had just purchased Docrafts Wellington stamp set, and Wellington paper pack from One Crazy Stamper, and the little girl with the big teddy bear just needed to be colored.  I started by choosing the background paper from the paper pack, and then colored the image with Copic colors that matched.  I ripped one layer of a cardboard box piece exposing the corrugated inside, and then inked it with Rangers Distress Ink Pumice Stone, finishing off the front of the card with a piece of lace and a sentiment that expressed my feeling of sadness when looking at the image.

Please hop on over to the One Crazy Stamper blog and check out the rest of the design teams wonderful Anything Goes projects, then get your mojo on and create something and enter to win a fabulous prize.

Did someone say Christmas?

Time to finally start making some cards for the most wonderful time of the year, and for the first card I've colored up a Lili of the Valley image from their latest release.  This will be one of three cards for an upcoming class.

This is "Christmas Star" that I stamped with Versa Fine Onyx Black ink on watercolor paper, and then colored with Distress Inks.  The snow received a coat of Icicle stickles, the sentiment and ribbon are from my stash, and the border was done with a Martha Stewart punch.

Pink Dandylion

Wow, who turned the page to a new month - it's June already, it seems like I just put the Christmas decorations away!  Hard to believe but it's time for the new monthly challenge theme at One Crazy Stamper, and this time it's a SKETCH designed by one of our own, Cindy!!  Here's the sketch.....

and this is my card featuring Kraftin' Kimmie Dandy Lion.

The image was stamped on Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento ink, colored with Copics, highlighted with Stickles Cotton Candy, and matted with grey cardstock.  The edge of the mat was covered with Glitter Ritz Micro Fine Cool Highlight, then the entire image was popped up on dp from Glitz Pretty in Pink paper pack.  I fussy cut the sentiment from an identical sheet of the dp and popped it up for added dimension.  For the flower I cut the Italian Flourish Doily from Cheery Lynn Dies, sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, and while it was still damp scrunched it.  The center of the flower is a piece of seam binding inked with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, and also scrunched, and highlighted with the Cool Highlight glitter.  Leaves for the flower were cut with a Martha Stewart punch, the corners are from the Whimsy Stamps Shapeology Dies Corner set, and edges were inked with Victorian Velvet.

Kisses Please!

One Crazy Stamper's Terrific Tuesday is upon us again - it's my turn to show you some of the wonderful items available both online and at the store.
Here's Kissy by Mo Manning for Stamping Bella!!!!!

Doesn't she look just like the typical Prima dona waiting for her accolades!!
The image was stamped with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic Xpress It paper.  I colored her with Copic sketch markers and Prismacolor pencils, then highlighted the rubies in her crown, on her slippers and around the sentiment with Stickles Christmas Red.  Although you can't see it on the photo her sash and crown shimmer with the addition of Sakura's Stardust pen.  The dp, frame and seam binding were distressed with Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  The designer paper is from the Pretty in Pink collection from Glitz, the flower is from Prima, and the frame is from Spellbinders ( it's an oldie but goodie ).
