I'm doing the It's Done Happy Dance!!!

It's finally completed - the last page for the 2013 calendar project is done!!!!  For some reason, I hit a complete crafter's block when it came time to finish this last page, and changed the paper and the images several times!!!!  But it's done!!!

To celebrate the changing of the season that happens in September, I picked two images from the delightful drawings of  Mo Manning - Kai and Fall.  Both images are colored with Copics, fussy cut and popped up on the dp which is an oldie from Chatterbox.  Prima leaves that have been enhanced with inks add that special feeling of leaves turning color.

Summer Dreaming

I'm dreaming of a bright summer day, when the kids were young and playing in the water was the best way to spend the day!!  Why am I dreaming of this on a bright, not so summery day in November ....... because that's the theme for the August calendar page that I have to show you today!!!

I stamped and colored two images by Elizabeth Bell that represented the summer theme - the Belles and Whistles images "Splashing Good Times" and "Googles" - then fussy cut them, and popped them up on dp from Basic Grey.  The sun is a Memory Box die and the blue pearls were made with a Viva Decor pearl pen.  Only two more months to go on this calendar project, and then it will be ready for gift giving.

Welcome Chilly November

New month, new challenge at One Crazy Stamper, and this month I got to choose the challenge theme, sooooooo........ I thought, and thought, and thought and came up with the really difficult choice of an ANYTHING GOES theme!!!  Boy, you have no idea how hard this was LOL!!!!

I have chosen to do another page for the calendar class that I am teaching, and what says welcome to chilly November more than snowman and penguins!!!!  I have used my Copics to color up three adorable High Hopes stamps -  Snowman Cup of Love, Penguin Friends, and Waddlin' By.    The penguin images were popped up on the dp's from Bo Bunny's Weekend Market collection that all edges were inked with Gathered Twigs distress ink.

A Good Read

Time to get back to creating the pages for the 2013 calendar project that I am teaching.  Here's the October page design featuring an image from Just Inklined called A Good Read.  The image is colored with Copics and then parts of it are highlighted with Diamond Glaze, Rock Candy Distress Crackle paint, and white Liquid Applique.

The dp is from October Afternoon's Farmhouse Gravel Road line, the spider, web and graveyard stones are all Memory Box dies.

Celtic March

It's time to show off the next page that I just completed for the 2013 calendar, and this time it's for March.  Since St. Patrick's day falls in March I have Copic colored the Celtic Angel from Crafts and Me.

I started by merging the angel image with the March calendar template, then printing the entire thing on a section of Bo Bunny's Ambrosia Lily paper.  The shelf that the angel is sitting on is colored with Copics then covered with Clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint, to give it an antique finish.  Another angel was printed out on Copic Xpress It paper, colored with Copics and fussy cut.  The wings received a coat of Delta's Sheer Silver Glaze, and a jade colored glitter pen was used to accent the dots in her hair, before the image was popped up on the original image.

Hoedown Time is Here Again

Only 2 more days of Stampede fun in Calgary, and the annual Stampede was my inspiration for my "Anything But a Card" project for this week's challenge at MayzyArt.
This is my July page for next years calendar featuring MayzyArt's Line Dancer digital image.  The image is colored with Copics, cut with Spellbinders Label 4 and mounted on denim paper from my stash.  The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps, buttons are Jesse James, and the twine is also from my stash.
The challenge at MayzyArt runs for two weeks, and we would love to see your wonderful projects for the theme of "Anything but a Card".  Hop on over to the challenge blog, check out the rest of the design teams stunning creations, and enter to win!!!

Hot, Hot, Hot!!!

Summer is here with a vengeance and everyone is out enjoying the heat!!  At least it's not as hot here as it has been in the eastern States where they are desperately waiting for some cooler temperatures.
Today's post is the second page for the calendar project I mentioned in an earlier post.

The image is Winter Fairy from Crafts and Me colored with Copics and bling added to her wings, shoes, and headpiece.  The snowflakes are a Memory Box die with added glimmer.

May Flowers

Well, the ladies that attend my classes are finally breathing a sigh of relief. I had promised a couple of months ago to start designing an 8" x 8" calendar that would be displayed in a beautiful wrought iron stand up flip frame that I purchased from the local big box craft store. I frantically searched several stores to get enough of the frames, and then promptly put them aside to deal with later.

About two weeks ago I decided that the time had come to get busy on the separate pages, and have completed four pages so far.  Today I am sharing the finished May page.  The Copic colored image is Bella and Butterfly from Wild Rose Studios, an image I fell in love with awhile ago, but just recently purchased.  The dp's are an oldie from Cloud 9 Design called Bay Blossoms, glitter is from Making Memories ( another oldie ), flowers are Prima's, flourishe die is a Tim Holtz, and the butterfly is from Martha Stewart.  I will be posting other pages soon, and a photo of the finished calendar later, so stay tuned!!
