Love You Mom

Oops, the day is almost done and I forgot to post the very last Mother's Day card that I had to show you, so ....

This gorgeous image is from Mo Manning - I have colored the image with Copics, added ribbon, flowers, dp and a sentiment to finish off this beauty.  What a great way to finish off the day!

Wishing You Well

Today's card expresses how I'm feeling today - I am now on day nine post op after a total right knee replacement.  Painful experience that no one should have to go through, but in a couple of months I am sure that I will love the results of all of this pain and discomfort.  Funny how you take the little simple everyday things for granted, until something like this comes along and makes you really think about day to day life.

The card features the Penny Black stamp Wishing You Well image from Mo Manning, that I have colored with distress ink reinkers and my trusty watercolor brushes.  The dp is from We R Memory Keepers, and the flowers are from the local big box craft store.

Flower Delight

Good morning everyone - the sun is shining here, and that means that my gorgeous mountain view greeted me this morning!  I love seeing the majestic Rocky Mountains, and will miss the view when my home sells.  Yes, I have finally listed the house, and am ready to start the next chapter of my life - a move to who knows where is in my future!!

Today I have another Mo Manning image to show you - this is Alisa with Roses painted with distress inks then matted on a Cheery Lynn doily die.  The designer paper is an older Basic Grey line that I have been saving for the perfect project, the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps, ribbon from my stash, some Prima, and Wild Orchid flowers, and a leaf punch from Martha Stewart complete the card front.

I hope everyone has a great day today.  I am once again off to spend quality time with my dogs while the house is being shown.

Sweet Little Kisses

Terrific Tuesday is here again, which means that I get to show you my project for One Crazy Stamper, and this month's Anything Goes challenge is so much fun to play along with.  This card was actually suppose to be for next months challenge theme ( and no I am not telling you what is, but maybe you can guess ), but while coloring on Friday night with my coloring buddies, I realized just how many stamps I have waiting to be colored yet, so I just had to share with you!  Isn't she just the cutest!!!

This is "Kisses", a delightful image from Penny Black and the talented artist Mo Manning!!  I stamped her with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Copic Xpress It cardstock, and then colored her with Copic Sketch Markers.  After fussy cutting her ( which I seem to do an awful lot of ), she is pop dotted on to the card front that I created using a Martha Stewart punch around the page border punch, and dp from Authentique's Lovely collection.  Don't you just want to lean down and receive a big wet kiss from this little sweetheart.

If you haven't popped on over to the One Crazy Stamper challenge blog, please take a few minutes to visit the wonderful design teams creations, then get creative, and enter to win an awesome prize by following the Anything Goes challenge theme.

I'm doing the It's Done Happy Dance!!!

It's finally completed - the last page for the 2013 calendar project is done!!!!  For some reason, I hit a complete crafter's block when it came time to finish this last page, and changed the paper and the images several times!!!!  But it's done!!!

To celebrate the changing of the season that happens in September, I picked two images from the delightful drawings of  Mo Manning - Kai and Fall.  Both images are colored with Copics, fussy cut and popped up on the dp which is an oldie from Chatterbox.  Prima leaves that have been enhanced with inks add that special feeling of leaves turning color.

Christmas Memories

I love the image on this card as it reminds me of my two children many, many, years ago.  Although we didn't have a fireplace mantel to hang stockings from, my daughter would always be there to help her younger brother with all of the Christmas decorating, and their faithful sidekick, Blueberry, would always be by their side.

This is "Joy Filled Christmas" from Penny Black stamps, and the creative talents of Mo Manning.  I have colored the image with Copics, then fussy cut and mounted it on Spellbinders Label 15 mats.  The dp is from Authentique's Festive collection and the ribbon is from my stash.

Icicle Dreams

Okay, today is a surprise post from me for One Crazy Stamper - seems lately I have been creating cards at a faster pace than normal, so here's one of my latest. This super cute image is from Penny Black and the artist Mo Manning and is entitled "Winter Fairy".

The image was stamped on Copic Xpress It cardstock, colored with Copics, and then blinged with Icicle Stickles and flocking. The image was cut with Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals One, as was the first layer, then all of the layers were placed on a card base created with Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Ovals. The lace and flowers are from my stash, with the centers of the flowers receiving both Icicle Stickles and light blue pearls created with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

The card is one of my favorite styles - an easel - with the inside featuring the same flowers surrounding a sentiment framed with a Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three die.

Ragged Santa

Penny Black has some of the wonderful images of Mo Manning available as stamps, and this is one of the slapstick/cling Christmas images - "Ragged Santa".

I have painted the image with distress inks, then distressed the edges of the entire card with both inks and a distress tool.  I even took the distress tool to the image itself which can seem a little daunting, but really gives a wonderful antique look.  The dp is from My Mind's Eye Merry collection, sentiment is from Waltzingmouse, and the ribbon was purchased after last Christmas - love clearance sales!!

Most Favorite !!!

The color pink seems to be my favorite color at the moment - hard to believe since I hated pink growing up!!  But here's another card with that new favorite!

This is "Love Ya" by Mo Manning for Stamping Bella.  The image is colored with Copics, cut and matted with Spellbinders Scalloped Oval dies, then mounted on plain ol' cardstock ( what no dp - :)!! ) that I embossed with a border from Cuttlebug.  The front of the card was finished with buttons, a charm and pink baker's twine.  On the inside of the card I used the sentiment that came with the stamp -
"you're pretty much my
MOST FAVORITE
of ALL TIME
in the history of EVER".

Your Shoes

I have a wonderful group of women that come to my place to color and chat, and recently one of them let me stamp one of her newest images, and then challenged me to be the first one to color it and make a card!
Well, here's the finished project and I think it turned out okay - what do you think?

This sweetie is Stamping Bella's "Big Shoes" by Mo Manning, colored with Copics and Prismacolor pencils.  The image was cut with Spellbinders Labels Eighteen, then mounted on dp from Authentique's Genuine collection.  Several butterflies were stamped and colored with Prismacolor pencils to match the originals on the dp.
Prima flowers with microbead centers, and pearls made with a Viva Decor Pearl pen finish the card.
