Quilted Santa

Today's post is another card I finished back in September, and just never got around to posting.

This is Quilted Santa from Penny Black stamps, that I colored with Copic markers, then matted and mounted on to the card front.  The tree die is an older Marianne Designs Creatable, the sentiment is from Crafters Companion and then I added jute twine accents.

Another Christmas card to show you today!  This cutie is "In the Snow" from Penny Black stamps, that I have colored with Copics.  The snowflake die is from Joy Craft and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.

And They Call it Bunny Love

I know that this card is a little early for Easter, but before you know it the season will be here, and I love Mo Manning images, sooooo..............

This gorgeous image called Bunny Kisses is from Penny Black stamps and is drawn by Mo Manning - you can buy it here!  I have stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic Xpress It cardstock and then colored it with Copics.  The image was cut with the Spellbinders Label One die and then the surrounding frame is also from Spellbinders.  The dp is an oldie from Prima Marketing, and the ribbon and the sentiment are from my stash.  All of the edges of the papers were inked with  Memento Toffee Crunch ink, and to finish off the card front I added three pearls made with a Viva Décor Pearl Pen.

Jolly Santa Hugs

Well, the weather outside is frightful, so the time to craft is delightful, and create I did - Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!!!  We are in the middle of a major blizzard here in Alberta ( and I do mean all of Alberta!!!! ), major snowfalls, extreme winds and sooooooo cold ( with the wind chill it has been hovering around -36C all day ).  Brrrrrrr!!! Time for an adorable card to warm us up.

This is a delightful image from Penny Black that I stamped on watercolor paper and then painted with inks from Tim Holtz distress reinkers.  The die is from Memory Box, and the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

Wishing You Well

Today's card expresses how I'm feeling today - I am now on day nine post op after a total right knee replacement.  Painful experience that no one should have to go through, but in a couple of months I am sure that I will love the results of all of this pain and discomfort.  Funny how you take the little simple everyday things for granted, until something like this comes along and makes you really think about day to day life.

The card features the Penny Black stamp Wishing You Well image from Mo Manning, that I have colored with distress ink reinkers and my trusty watercolor brushes.  The dp is from We R Memory Keepers, and the flowers are from the local big box craft store.

Gardening Friends

Welcome to Terrific Tuesday for One Crazy Stamper, and another card from me using the theme for this month's challenge of "KRAFT". When I first heard what the theme for this months challenge would be, I was stumped as I very rarely use kraft colored cardstock, but that's what a challenge is about right - it's to challenge us to create with something we don't usually use, so.......here's my card!
I really went with the kraft theme by using the kraft cardstock as my base, and then stamping the image with Versamark ink and embossing it all with a dark brown embossing powder. I even had to mask the image to extend the flower border across the entire width of the card. Once the embossed image had cooled, I used my Copic Sketch Markers to color in the details ( sorry about the glare on the photo ). The sentiment and ribbon are from my stash, and the image is "Garden Assistant" from Penny Black!!!
There is still a week left to enter the challenge at One Crazy Stamper to win a great prize package of High Hopes stamps, so get busy and create!!!

Christmas Memories

I love the image on this card as it reminds me of my two children many, many, years ago.  Although we didn't have a fireplace mantel to hang stockings from, my daughter would always be there to help her younger brother with all of the Christmas decorating, and their faithful sidekick, Blueberry, would always be by their side.

This is "Joy Filled Christmas" from Penny Black stamps, and the creative talents of Mo Manning.  I have colored the image with Copics, then fussy cut and mounted it on Spellbinders Label 15 mats.  The dp is from Authentique's Festive collection and the ribbon is from my stash.

Icicle Dreams

Okay, today is a surprise post from me for One Crazy Stamper - seems lately I have been creating cards at a faster pace than normal, so here's one of my latest. This super cute image is from Penny Black and the artist Mo Manning and is entitled "Winter Fairy".

The image was stamped on Copic Xpress It cardstock, colored with Copics, and then blinged with Icicle Stickles and flocking. The image was cut with Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals One, as was the first layer, then all of the layers were placed on a card base created with Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Ovals. The lace and flowers are from my stash, with the centers of the flowers receiving both Icicle Stickles and light blue pearls created with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

The card is one of my favorite styles - an easel - with the inside featuring the same flowers surrounding a sentiment framed with a Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three die.

Ragged Santa

Penny Black has some of the wonderful images of Mo Manning available as stamps, and this is one of the slapstick/cling Christmas images - "Ragged Santa".

I have painted the image with distress inks, then distressed the edges of the entire card with both inks and a distress tool.  I even took the distress tool to the image itself which can seem a little daunting, but really gives a wonderful antique look.  The dp is from My Mind's Eye Merry collection, sentiment is from Waltzingmouse, and the ribbon was purchased after last Christmas - love clearance sales!!
