Talented artist Mayzy is getting ready to resume drawing her wonderful digital images and to open a brand spankin' new store.  In order to do this, she has decided to put all of the remaining images in her Etsy store on sale for 50% off until quantities are deleted or expire.  This is a great opportunity to purchase some of her images at tremendous savings, so hop on over to her etsy store here, and get them while they're available.

Mayzy has also opened a new store with all of her digital images, and this is where, going forward, all of her new images will be offered for purchase.  You can check it out here.

New challenges will resume in the New Year, and to celebrate, Mayzy and each and every one of the current dt members are all offering a chance to win 2 free images from the Mayzyart store.  In order to win, all you have to do is leave a comment on each of our blogs - winners will be announced on the individual blogs.

Parieee!!!!

Springtime in Paris!!!
Okay it's not really spring and I am definetly not in Paris, but a girl can dream!!  Tomorrow's weather is going to be almost the complete opposite - high of somewhere around +2C with a rain and snow mix, leading up to even cooler weather and more snow in the coming days.

It was time to do something a little bit different, so this project is actually the front of a travel mini album for a friend who recently did travel to France.  The image is Xaandra and Vespa from MayzyArt, that I colored with Copics, then popped up on the album cover that features a laser cur die from Want 2 Scrap.

Hoedown Time is Here Again

Only 2 more days of Stampede fun in Calgary, and the annual Stampede was my inspiration for my "Anything But a Card" project for this week's challenge at MayzyArt.
This is my July page for next years calendar featuring MayzyArt's Line Dancer digital image.  The image is colored with Copics, cut with Spellbinders Label 4 and mounted on denim paper from my stash.  The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps, buttons are Jesse James, and the twine is also from my stash.
The challenge at MayzyArt runs for two weeks, and we would love to see your wonderful projects for the theme of "Anything but a Card".  Hop on over to the challenge blog, check out the rest of the design teams stunning creations, and enter to win!!!

G2GLYS!! - MayzyArt Sponsorship

MayzyArt is the sponsor for the next fortnight at Friday Sketch Challenges, and the team was asked if they would like to participate - of course we all said yes!!!  I choose the image "Texting Teen", which I colored with Copics, fussy cut and mounted on layers of dp from Echo Park's "A Boy's Life" collection.  Being the texting wiz that I am ( not!!!! ), I googled for sentiments and came up with LU4E ( Love You Forever ), and G2GLYS ( Got to Go, Love You So ) - I think they suit the card's theme.
Hop on over to the Friday Sketch Challenge blog here, and check out the fabulous creations that both design teams came up with.

Welcome to the Circus!

The second challenge for MayzyArt is live, and for the next two weeks we want to see your CIRCUS themed projects!!  Mayzy has some adorable circus images available, and I got to work with the Ringmaster - who better to welcome you to the circus!!

After some experimenting I made an explosion box featuring the Ringmaster image colored with Copics, fussy cut and mounted beside the tent flap, beckoning you inside!!  I've made explosion boxes before, but always with a flat top to decorate, so I had to figure out how to make the pointed top.  On the inside of the box, I used circus animal figures and a center platform to mimic the interior of a circus tent.

The dp is an older paper from Creative Imaginations Samantha Walker line.
Hop on over to the MayzyArt challenge here, get creative and enter to win free digital images from Mayzy's etsy site.
