In honor of Father's Day and all of the great dads out there, here's a special card!

 

This is one of Art Impressions great images entitled "Spud", which I colored with Distress Inks and layered on to scraps of designer paper.

 

Summer Lovin'

 June has arrived and hopefully with that the warmer weather has decided to stick around as well ( I am writing this post in late April and so far spring is having a hard time sticking around - seems to snow every weekend ).  To celebrate the arrival of all things warm, the challenge theme this month at One Crazy Stamper is SUMMER!!!

 

Ahhh, summer and those lazy days of lounging around enjoying life to the fullest - this image says it all!!!  This is Art Impressions Girlfriends Stayin' Afloat' stamp set brightly colored with Copics.  The dp is from Cosmo Crickets Salt Air collection - an oldie from my stash - ribbon and clear dew drops are also from my stash, and the sentiment is one of the three included with the stamp set.

Shamrock Petals

 Happy St Patrick's Day everyone!!!
Here's my tribute to everything Irish - a wonderful Art Impressions image colored with Copics, then mounted on some older Little Yellow Bicycle designer paper. 

  



 

The celtic border is a Cheery Lynn die, the ribbon is from the local big box craft store, and the sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  Enjoy your day, and don't drink too much of that special green beer!!!

Movie Night With the Girls

 

I simply adore the Girlfriends line of stamps from Art Impressions, and the newest releases do not disappoint!!!   The hard choice was which one to color first!!!  And the winner is.........



 

....... the At the Movies Set!!!  Love, love, love this group of ladies and can actually see myself and my girlfriends sharing this exact experience!!!  I wonder which one is me, and which one represents the personalities of the rest of the group?  After coloring

the image with Copics and fussy cutting it, I wanted to make it look like they are in an actual theatre, so out come the Cuttlebug, and an older Sizzix ( Tim Holtz ) embossing folder, that represents the look of the projector up and behind this hilarious group.  I inked the embossing with a grey and then a silver dew drop.  The sentiment is included in the stamp set, as is the sentiment that I used on the inside of the card.

Shall We Dance

Terrific Tuesday time again for One Crazy Stamper, and in keeping with this month's theme of Love, I have stamped and colored up this great image from Art Impressions.

 

 

This is one of the Bird Brains stamps called Dancing Birdie and Scratch, which I colored with Copics, fussy cut and then placed on the card front with an Action Wobble to make them dance, wiggle and jive!!!  To create the card front, I randomly rubbed four different colors of distress inks (Aged Mahogany, Barn Door, Spiced Marmalade and Walnut Stain )  across a piece of watercolor paper, then spritzed with water to make the colors blend.  After drying the resulting wash with my heat gun, I then stamped the Aged Mahogany ink pad on to my splat mat, then spritzed the color with water to make the ink form into drops.  I then placed the original piece of blended colors over top of the droplets of color, to create the blotchy look.  To complete the look I stamped the Whimsy Stamps Into the Farm image with Versamark ink, sprinkled with brown embossing powder, and used the heat gun again.  The sentiment is from my stash.  This would be a great card for an anniversay or special day to celebrate Love.

Here's another of the new Art Impressions tri-fold stamps - I've colored it with Distress Inks then highlighted the flower pots with various Flower Soft colors.  I still have the Harvest image to color up, so keep on checking back for the next tri-fold.

Here's a special card for ONE OF THOSE DAYS!!!!  You all know what kind of day I'm referring to, and we have all had at least one of those days ourselves, so when I saw this new stamp from Art Impressions I knew that it would be perfect to have a few cards with the image and sentiment on hand!

The set "All Tied Up" and "To Go" are colored with Copics, fussy cut and mounted on some of last year's Bo Bunny Zoology collection of papers.

More Christmas Inspiration

One of my friends and coloring guru, recently shared a new purchase - this fabulous Art Impressions stamp!

 

 

This is one of the new tri-fold stamp sets available at Art Impressions - this is Village!

I love the idea of using one stamp set to create such an interactive card, and the instructions that are included with the set are very easy to understand.  I have colored the image with Distress Inks, then added white flocking to the snowman hat, and lots of Polar White Flower Soft to make the scene sparkle. 

 

 

The set includes a sentiment but I changed to this SU sentiment!

 

 

 



It's a Penguin Weekend

My second Christmas card this weekend featuring a new Art Impressions image available at One Crazy Stamper - this is "Snowman and Penguins".

The image is colored with Copics, accented with Polar White Flower Soft on the penguins hats, then framed with the Memory Box die Frosty Border.  Dp is from My Mind's Eye's Merry collection, holly leaves are oldies from Making Memories, and the sentiment if from the Inkadinkado Winter Silhouettes stamp set.

Christmas Joy

I love Christmas and I really love penguins, so when I saw this new image from Art Impressions on the One Crazy Stamper online store, I knew I had to have it!!!

This is Penguin Joy, colored with Copics, accented with Polar White Flower Soft and diamond glaze, and mounted on dp from MME's Merry collection.

Where's the Beef?

It's Stampede time here in Calgary - YEEHAW!!!!

What better way to celebrate Stampede then to invite family and friends to a barbecue, and I have the perfect invitation. 

This little old cow is searching for the beef that will be a served at your fabulous event.  The Cow is a front and back image from Art Impressions colored with Copics, fussy cut and adhered to the tag, which slips into the criss/cross card front.

There's a "NAP" for That!!

I LOVE Art Impressions images and the newest release has not disappointed!!!

So for this weeks One Crazy Stamper project, I have used an AI People image "Power Napper Set".

As usual I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic Xpress It cardstock and colored it with Copics.  No fussy cutting this time, unless you count her feet sticking out of the frame!!  Spellbinders Label Two was used to cut the image out, as well as to frame it.  I stamped the included sentiment repeatedly on to the dp from My Mind's Eye Fiddlesticks collection, with Versafine Onyx Black ink - the repeating seems to reflect the sentiment - stress, chaos and mayhem.  The card is a gate fold with black sheer ribbon tying it closed, and Viva Decor pearls accenting it.

Now is the Time!!

A new month means a new challenge theme at One Crazy Stamper, and April's theme is Masculine!!!  I spent time this week playing with an Art Impressions Front and Back stamp, the Art Impressions Fence stamp, Stamping Bella's Little Umbrella image and a couple of Memory Box dies.

On the front of the card, the image was colored with Copics, fussy cut, then layered onto the fence image that I stamped on dp from My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks collection.  The grass was cut with a Magnolia die, and the sentiment is from Pink By Design's retirement set.

The inside of the card features the Little Umbrella image also colored with Copics and fussy cut.  Both the clouds and branches are Memory Box dies and the sentiment is from the same stamp set as the front sentiment.

A big thank you goes out to my coloring buddy last Sunday, who gave me some wonderful suggestions to complete this card - can you spot the little bit of the sunbather's leg peeking through the grass on the front of the card?

Party Girls!!

You still have a few days left to enter your card in this months challenge at One Crazy Stamper, and the theme for this month is Birthdays!  Brand new, both online and instore, are the Art Impressions stamps, and I have been eagerly waiting to show you one of the cute images made into a card! 

This is Party Girls - stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic Xpress It cardstock and colored with Copics.  I added small bits of sparkle confetti with a Sakura Gelly Roll Clear Star pen.  The dp, ribbon and sentiment are all from my stash of supplies.

Winter Vacation Anyone?

For my last post for this months Food/Drink challenge at One Crazy Stamper, I stamped the hilarious Art Impressions Girlfriends image - just imagine yourself on a beautiful white beach in a tropical location gossiping with your gal pals - wouldn't that be lovely!!!

The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Xpress It paper, colored with Copics and fussy cut, then mounted on to two papers from Fancy Pants Beach Babe paper collection that was available this past summer.  I used a Versamark pad and a light tan embossing powder to imitate the sand.

Today is the last day to enter this months challenge at OCS, and the winners will be announced tomorrow.  Thursday will be the start of December's challenge, so keep checking the One Crazy Stamper blog to see the theme.

We Love Santa!!

It's Tuesday, so it's my turn to create a project for One Crazy Stamper!  It's the most wonderful time of the year when children dream of Santa, and this adorable image says it all.  The image is "Christmas Tots with Santa" from Art Impressions, stamped on Copic Xpress It paper and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  The dp is from Bo Bunny Father Christmas 6 x 6 pad, and to highlight the sentiment that is part of the paper, I used Diamond Glaze from Judikins

 to give it dimension.  All of the highlighted items are available at One Crazy Stamper.

Summer Fun

Don't you just want to join in the fun that this couple is experiencing?  I love Art Impressions stamps, and this one is a favorite.  It's from the Still Livin' collection and is entitled Jump In ( available at OCS ).  This weeks challenge at Art Impressions is Happy Summer!!, and I think this card says it all.
I colored the image with my Copics, fussy cut and then mounted it on little springs that I made ( makes the image wiggle and jiggle ).  Additional dimension was added on the goggles, water wings, and inner tube with Judikins Diamond Glaze, and I also fussy cut some of the fish from an extra piece of designer paper and popped them up with foam dots.  The dp is Fancy Pants Beach Babe collection.  The sentiment is included with the stamp from AI.  Here's a close up of the dimension:

My First GD!

Good morning everyone!  It's the first of June which means that I can show you my first card that I created for One Crazy Stampers June challenge Colors of the Rainbow, as a guest designer . 

The image and sentiment is from Art Impressions "Dancers" available from OCS, that I colored with Copics.  The background was created by stamping the sentiment and musical notes onto white cardstock and then overlaying that with a sheet of acrylic that I airbrushed with the colors of the Rainbow.  Check out all of the beautiful cards that the Design Team created at http://www.onecrazystampercom.blogspot.com/ and check out all the fun items you can purchase at One Crazy Stampers on line store ( http://www.onecrazystamper.com/ ).

Welcome Surprise

In the midst of my dog Indie's battle with a spontaneous pneumothroax, I got a wonderful surprise that couldn't have come at a better time.  I was invited to be the guest designer for a fantastic blog and an awesome on line store here in Canada - One Crazy Stamper!!  Wow, thank you so much to Lora ( owner and a great lady ) and Jacilynn ( the DT coordinator ) for this wonderful opportunity!!  I got right to work, and on June 1 one of my cards will be featured on the blog along with all of the beautiful Design team projects.  Here's a sneak peek!
