Hi Cupcake!

Wow, another month has flown by and today we welcome March - I wonder if it will come in as a lion or a lamb!  Since it's the first that means that it's time for the next One Crazy Stamper monthly challenge to begin, and this month the theme is "Birthday Wishes".

I have stamped "Birthday Cupcake" from House Mouse on Copic Xpress It paper with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and colored it with Copics.  To add highlights to parts of the image I used the Prismacolor white pencil crayon and Gamsol.  I used Judikins Diamond Glaze on the candles, and Smooch Illuminate Top Coat on the outside of the cupcake liner to make it look metallic.

The image was cut and matted with Spellbinders Reverse Wonky Rectangles, then layered on to scrap paper from my stash.  The sentiment from Inkadinkado's Birthday Cupcake set was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Little Lady

Terrific Tuesday is here again at One Crazy Stamper, and this is my last card for this month's "Love is in the Air" challenge.  This week I finally got to color an image from a stamp company I had never bought from before.

This is "You and Me Boy" from Morehead Stamps, one of the newest companies that Lora has brought into the store.  The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Xpress It cardstock, then colored with Copics and Prismacolor pencils.  I used the Copic Blender Pen to give his shirt a plaid pattern, which is an easy but very effective technique - just color the shirt as you normally would, then use the blender pen to remove the color to make the lines.  The image was cut with Spellbinders Label 21, the sentiment is an oldie from Waltzingmouse, and jute string was wrapped around the front to finish the card.
Today is the last day to enter the challenge to win the monthly prize, so hop on over to the One Crazy Stamper challenge blog, check out the wonderful creations that the entire design team have shown this past month, and then enter to win.

One of Those Days

Here's another Saturated Canary image - this is "One of Those Days" available at Krista Smith's etsy site.  It was colored with Copics and Prismacolor pencils, and the swirls and flourishes are either Memory Box or Marianne Designs dies.

A Little Birdie Told Me

The challenge this month at Sundays With Crissy is "Birthdays", and Crissy has so many images that you could use for this theme, so I had a hard time finding the perfect one to use.  I choose "Birdie Friend" from Crissy's digis for Whimsy Stamps, and with the right sentiments it became an adorable birthday card.

The image was colored with Copics and Prismacolor Pencils, then matted on layers of Bazzill cardstock and designer paper from K & Company Sweet Nectar mat pad.  The border punch is from Martha Stewart, and the sentiment and image on the inside of the card is from My Sentiments Exactly Birdie Banner stamp set.

There are still a few days left to enter the February challenge, so pop on over to the Sundays With Crissy challenge blog, check out the dt members gorgeous cards, and enter your card to win.

Time to Play

Finally took the time to just play today, and this is the result...
Stamping Bella's "Big Girl Pants" by Mo Manning!!

The image was colored with Copics and Prismacolor pencils, fussy cut, layered onto chiffon cardstock, which was popped up on the dp from Die Cuts With a View - Pocket Full of Green/Posies Glitter Print.  All of the circles were cut with either the Spellbinders classic scallop circles large, or the Grand scallop circles dies.  I fussy cut several of the dp's flowers and used them as embellishments, and the sentiment came with the stamp.

First Love - Challenge #52 TPS

One of the first artist's works that I fell in love with while in high school was Art Nouveau's Alphonse Mucha, in fact I still have posters of his four seasons images somewhere in my basement. So when I received this gorgeous image from The Paper Shelter, I knew that I just had to find the right paper to replicate his style.

This beautiful little lady is A. Mucha Influence - Winter digital image from The Paper Shelter.  She was colored with Copics and Prismacolor pencils, Viva Decor pearls were added, and a bronze glow was added to parts of the image with Luminarte Radiant Rain.  The sentiment, ribbon and metal label holder are all from my stash, and the fabulous dp is from Graphic 45's Steampunk Debutante collection.  The challenge this week at The Paper Shelter is "Add A Sentiment".

The very talented and generous Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter are offering you a fabulous prize of  $20 to spend on whatever your like in their webshop, if you use one of their gorgeous images in the challenge this week.

They have such fabulous things to offer you -  digi stamps, papers and accessories and all at such wonderful value.  If you do not use one of their images, you can still enter the challenge to win 3 of their images of your own choice.

Kisses Please!

One Crazy Stamper's Terrific Tuesday is upon us again - it's my turn to show you some of the wonderful items available both online and at the store.
Here's Kissy by Mo Manning for Stamping Bella!!!!!

Doesn't she look just like the typical Prima dona waiting for her accolades!!
The image was stamped with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic Xpress It paper.  I colored her with Copic sketch markers and Prismacolor pencils, then highlighted the rubies in her crown, on her slippers and around the sentiment with Stickles Christmas Red.  Although you can't see it on the photo her sash and crown shimmer with the addition of Sakura's Stardust pen.  The dp, frame and seam binding were distressed with Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  The designer paper is from the Pretty in Pink collection from Glitz, the flower is from Prima, and the frame is from Spellbinders ( it's an oldie but goodie ).

I'm Retired....

Bugaboo Stamps is the sponsor for this fortnight's challenge at Dream Valley, and the theme is Just For Men.  I've had this digital image from Bugaboo for awhile and just needed the excuse to color him up - this is Gus Birthday - Optional.  I colored the image with Copic Sketch Markers and Prismacolor pencils, then used Judikins Diamond Glaze on his glasses ( I put a very thick coat on, and when it dried for some reason the center collapsed, which has never happened before, but it worked out okay because he now has lovely coke bottle thick glasses - just adds to the older age subject of the card ).   The dp is from a My Mind's Eye Abbey Road "Let's Go" kit, and the sentiment is from Art Impressions.

Sweet Wonderful You

Time for another Saturated Canary image - this is Dorothy from Krista's Wizard of Oz collection.

I choose to color her in beautiful spring colors, instead of the traditional colors that you would normally see her in.  Dorothy was colored with Copics and Prismacolor pencils, then fussy cut and popped up on the card front.  The border was cut with a Martha Stewart punch, dp is from an unknown source and cut with the Kiwi Doily die from Cheery Lynn, and the roses are from Prima.
The sentiment frame was cut with Spellbinders Label 10.

Karen's Sweet Hearts

The amazingly talented digital artist Karen Middleton has created six new images for Cuddly Buddly, and my cards today highlight two of these cuties.

The first card features the image "Bird & Eggs" colored with Copics, then framed with Marianne Designs Die Circlets , and mounted on Kim's digi paper - Cottage Collection Yellow, also from Cuddly Buddly.

The second card features the image "Kitty in Hat", and was also colored with Copics.  The Prima flowers, pearls, ribbon and butterfly charm are all from my stash.  The digital papers are Kim's Pretty Mix - Purple and Kim's Peppy Papers - Purple/Lime all available at Cuddly Buddly.  The sentiments on both cards are from Eliza and Bro's Sentiments rubber stamp set.

Love is......

Happy Valentines Day everybody, I hope that you are all spending the day with your special someone!!
It's Terrific Tuesday at One Crazy Stamper which means it's my turn to shine, so without further ado, may I present the fabulous Bling Baby from Whimsy Stamps Kenny K collection!!!!

This sassy little lady was stamped with Memento ink onto Xpress It paper, then colored with Copics.  Labels 14 from Spellbinders was used to cut the image out, then the edges were inked with a Brilliance Starlight Silver Dew Drop ink pad, and mounted on metallic silver paper.  The front of the card was made by stamping Street Art from Whimsy Stamps Backgrounds collection with Versa Mark. and embossing with white embossing powder.  To give the card and sentiment a silver glow I used Delta Sheer Silver Glaze over both ( the things you find when looking for something else in your stash!!!! ).  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps Film Strip Sentiments and there is a matching die to cut it out.  The edge of the card has a punched border of hearts cut from silver metallic paper using a Martha Stewart punch.
The theme this month at OCS is LOVE IS IN THE AIR and you still have two weeks to enter the challenge for your chance to win, so check out the blog and the creative talents of the design team members here.

I love ....

I love .... dies, dies and more dies!!!  Okay that's not really the theme for this card, but I did use three different dies on this Valentine themed card.  The frame around the image is Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares die, while the border and circle flourish are both from Memory Box ( this companies dies are fast becoming my favorite, as they are so delicate and detailed ).  The Copic colored image is from Lili of the Valley, sentiment is from The Notes of Love by Craft Lounge, and the dp is Bo Bunny's Gift of Love - Love Bandit line.

Heartfelt Thanks!

Another beautiful Hanglar Stanglar image - my collection of these images is quite large, and since I am trying to stick to my goal to use some of my stamps that have never been inked you will be seeing a lot of Hanglar Stanglar cards this year.  This image was colored with Copics, fussy cut, and popped up on the card front.  The beads were also colored with Copics, and the ribbon and sentiment are from my collection.

Where's the Copics?

For the "Be My Valentine" challenge at The Paper Shelter this week, I didn't color with my Copic markers!!!   Instead I decided to use  Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol to color this sweet "Kisses" image.  Viva Decor Pearl pens were used to make the pearls and the border of hearts is a Martha Stewart punch.  Pop on over to the challenge blog to see all of the wonderful cards that Team B designed this week, and then enter to win!!

Wake Up Call

Just a quick post today with a card featuring one of the newest Lilyboo Designs Farm Collection images from Cuddly Buddly.  The image was printed on 90 lb watercolor paper, then painted with Distress inks.  After fussy cutting the image, I popped it up on cardstock that was embossed with a Tim Holtz folder, and then lightly inked.  Sentiment and ribbon are from my stash.

Sent With Love

Time for the next Dream Valley Challenge, and the theme for this fortnight is Valentine's.  We have two fabulous sponsors for this challenge, One Stop Card Crafts and Joanna Sheen.  I just happen to have purchased this gorgeous stamp from Joanna Sheen a couple of months ago and it fits the theme perfectly, this is Special Day from Faye Whittaker's rubber stamp collection.

I colored the image with Copics, then distressed it and the dp with three colors of distress inks.  The dp is from the Butterfly Garden collection from Pink Paislee, crochet trim is May Arts, velvet ribbon is from my stash, sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps, and the pearls were made with a Viva Decor Pearl pen.  The flower is from Magnolia and was distressed with ink, and the leaves were made with a Martha Stewart punch.

Coffee Time

Look at what I found in a pile of stamped images waiting to be colored - a House Mouse image colored and ready to be made into a card!!  I remember coloring this with my Copics, but have no idea what colors I used.  The edges of the image and mat were both torn and distressed, and I created the card front by just inking it with a couple of different colors of brown ink.  The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie, the coffee beans were made with a brown Viva Decor Pearl pen, and the jute ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Coffee Anyone?

Pirate Love

It's a pirates life for me!!!

Last year I saw a cute pirate image on a blog and had to search so I could add it to my collection - this is a Nellie Snellen stamp from the Young Rebels line entitled "Brave Captain", which at the time that I found it, was not available for purchase in Canada.  Fast forward to last month, and now One Crazy Stamper carries the stamps in their online store - YEAH!!  I colored the image with Copics ( nothing but E's ), fussy cut, and mounted it onto the background that I created by stamping an oldie but goodie, Tattered Angels Tattered Traveler Compass on to kraft cardstock.  The compass was distressed with Vintage Photo and Bundled Sage distress inks, the charm was colored with Copic E39 and E59, and I typed the sentiment on my computer.

Love You Fairy

Wow, it's hard to believe that January has run it's course and we are now entering February, time flies when you're having fun!!  The challenge theme this month at One Crazy Stamper is "Love is in the Air" and this cutie from Whimsy Stamps is ready for the big day this month.  This is "Valentine Fairy" by Crissy Armstrong which I colored with Copics and then fussy cut.  The front of the card starts with dp from Prima's Celebrate! with Jack and Jill collection, then I used a couple of Marianne Designs dies to cut out the swirls ( and OCS is now carrying these dynamic dies ), a Martha Stewart All Over the Page punch for the pink strip of cardstock, Kaiser flowers and sparkly hearts from the local big box store complete the card front.  The image was popped up with 3-D foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesive to bring even more dimension to the card.  Make time in your day to check out the challenge blog, and also the online store as new items are being added almost daily!
