Christmas is about Sharing

Christmas is the time of year to remember your family, friends, and all of the other people in your life that bring special moments to your life, and this sweet image from Nellie Snellen demonstrates the sharing of gifts.

This is "Dawn Sharing a Biscuit" colored with Copics, then matted and mounted on dp from last year's Bo Bunny Father Christmas collection.  Faux stitiching, cookie cutter buttons from Jesse James, and a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps complete the card.

Nellie Snellen Holiday Wish

Here's a card for a special someone to celebrate the holiday season.

This Copic colored image is Nellie Snellen's "Like My Star".  I have cut two of the largest dies from Spellbinders Moroccan Motifs to create the layered design behind the image.  The sentiment, and the snowflake border around it are both from Whimsy Stamps, and the lace is from my stash.  The dp is from last year's Bo Bunny Snowfall collection, and all of the edges of the card were inked with Gathered Twigs distress ink.

OCS December Challenge

Wow, someone turned the page and now the last month of 2012 is here!!!  Where, oh where did the year go!!!!  Since it is the first of the month that means that it's time to announce the new challenge theme at One Crazy Stamper.  This month design team member Sue has given us all a wonderful sketch to work with, and here it is...

....OR.....
if you don't want to work with the sketch you can choose to create a card with a "Holiday" theme!!!

 Here's my card......

I decided to turn the sketch on it's side to make my card, and to make something with a holiday theme, combining both themes!!!  The dp is from Authentique's  Peaceful collection, and the image is Nellie Snellen's Robin.  The bird is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic Xpress It cardstock, colored with Copics, then fussy cut and popped up on the Memory Box Holly Vine die, cut from black cardstock.  Snowflakes that are included with the bird image were randomly stamped on more dp from the same collection to form the bottom section of the card.  Black satin ribbon and black faux stitches complete my card.

It's the Last Tuesday of the Month....

...and that means that it's time for my post for One Crazy Stamper!!!

This adorable image is from Nellie Snellen and is entitled "Hokey Pokey".  To color the image I started by choosing paper from last years My Mind's Eye Lost & Found collection, and then matching my colors to the colors in the paper.  The image was matted and layered onto two papers from the MME collection, the flowers were airbrushed with Copic colors to match the dp, and the sentiment and lace are from my stash.

Christmas Presents

November 3 already and the push is on to get those Christmas cards completed, so I have another card to show you all today that I will be teaching on Monday.

This adorable image is Nellie Snellen's "Dawn Take a Present", that is colored with Copics, cut with Spellbinders Label 16, and mounted on two of the Spellbinders Fleur de lis dies that form a snowflake.  It is really hard to tell in the photo, but the red paper has a lovely shimmer, and the dots of snow and snowflakes surrounding the little girl are also shimmery.  The gorgeous dp is from Carta Bella's Winter Fun collection, and the lace is from my stash.

The Kid in all of Us

I'm still working on the kickin' the last of those nasty airline germs, so here's another card that I did prior to getting sick.

This is "Present Bear" from Nellie Snellen available at One Crazy Stamper.  I have colored the image with Copics, cut the image out with a Spellbinders Eyelets Circles die, embossed and inked the die shape, and popped up the result on dp from My Mind's Eye Merry paper pad.  The lace is from my favorite local fabric store, who carries an awesome stock of lace and ribbon ( so much stock that I can only go once or twice a year, cause it's hard to stop shopping ).

This is Dawn with Flowers from Nellie Snellen, colored with Copics, cut out with a Spellbinders die, and then mounted on to dp from my favorite, favorite, favorite paper right now - Bo Bunny's Serenade collection.  I used a Viva Decor pearl pen to add small gold dots and accents to the poppies on the dp, and randomly placed dragonfly brads, from my stash, to complete the card.

Let's Play

Masculine or a male themed card or project, that's the theme for One Crazy Stamper's monthly challenge.  Today I chose two Nellie Snellen images to feature - I was so happy when OCS started to carry these little cuties.

The image on the front of the card is "Indian Warrior", while the inside has "Yippie-Yeah" ( Cowboy on Horse ).  Both images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, on Copic's Xpress It cardstock, then colored with Copics.  The dp is from my stash, and the sentiment is from an older stamp set from Waltzingmouse.  The motifs are from the Ironworks Spellbinders die set.

Take the time to visit the One Crazy Stamper challenge blog to view the rest of the design teams wonderful projects, and then check out the online store here.

Pirate Love

It's a pirates life for me!!!

Last year I saw a cute pirate image on a blog and had to search so I could add it to my collection - this is a Nellie Snellen stamp from the Young Rebels line entitled "Brave Captain", which at the time that I found it, was not available for purchase in Canada.  Fast forward to last month, and now One Crazy Stamper carries the stamps in their online store - YEAH!!  I colored the image with Copics ( nothing but E's ), fussy cut, and mounted it onto the background that I created by stamping an oldie but goodie, Tattered Angels Tattered Traveler Compass on to kraft cardstock.  The compass was distressed with Vintage Photo and Bundled Sage distress inks, the charm was colored with Copic E39 and E59, and I typed the sentiment on my computer.
