It will be a Blue Christmas!

I am on a blue coloring kick lately, so expect to see a few in the next little while.  This first card features a sweet Karen Doodles image called "First Taste of Snow".

Can you feel the joy this little one is experiencing while playing in the first snow fall of the season!!  The image is colored with Copics and mounted on paper from this years Bo Bunny collection called Powder Mountain.  The snowflake edge is a Tim Holtz die with added glitter, and the sentiment is from my stash.

Summer Dreaming

I'm dreaming of a bright summer day, when the kids were young and playing in the water was the best way to spend the day!!  Why am I dreaming of this on a bright, not so summery day in November ....... because that's the theme for the August calendar page that I have to show you today!!!

I stamped and colored two images by Elizabeth Bell that represented the summer theme - the Belles and Whistles images "Splashing Good Times" and "Googles" - then fussy cut them, and popped them up on dp from Basic Grey.  The sun is a Memory Box die and the blue pearls were made with a Viva Decor pearl pen.  Only two more months to go on this calendar project, and then it will be ready for gift giving.

Icicle Dreams

Okay, today is a surprise post from me for One Crazy Stamper - seems lately I have been creating cards at a faster pace than normal, so here's one of my latest. This super cute image is from Penny Black and the artist Mo Manning and is entitled "Winter Fairy".

The image was stamped on Copic Xpress It cardstock, colored with Copics, and then blinged with Icicle Stickles and flocking. The image was cut with Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals One, as was the first layer, then all of the layers were placed on a card base created with Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Ovals. The lace and flowers are from my stash, with the centers of the flowers receiving both Icicle Stickles and light blue pearls created with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

The card is one of my favorite styles - an easel - with the inside featuring the same flowers surrounding a sentiment framed with a Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three die.

Little Miss Muffet Guest Designer

Today I get to show off a card that I created as the Guest Designer for the Little Miss Muffet challenge blog, who's theme this time is Textiles.  I recently won challenge #46 Halloween colors with my card here, and was asked to be a guest designer.  I received the adorable image Celeste Amberglow Owl Always Love You to play with.

I colored the image with Copics, then fussy cut her and placed her on the inside of the card.  The front of the card features dp from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Rosy collection, with an opening cut with a Spellbinders Label 8 die.  I added lace trim, a bow and two flowers I made out of ribbon.  The sentiment is from my stash of ever growing stamp sets.

A big thank you goes out to Faye from Little Miss Muffet stamps for inviting me to play with her awesome design team, and I hope I did them proud!!

Easely Does It - and it's not a Typo!!

For this weeks challenge theme at The Paper Shelter we want to see an easel card with a Christmas theme.

For my card for the challenge I colored two different images from The Paper Shelter - Getting Ready for Christmas and the Santa Giraffe from the Giraffes on Holidays set of images.   Both of the images are colored with Copics, then fussy cut and mounted on the card front that also has a couple of lampposts from a Penny Black stamp set ( cause were else would Santa hang his clothes to dry ).  The inside of the card is popped up and features a sentiment from a Flourish set and designer paper from Bo Bunny's Mistletoe collection.  Oh, and before I forget, the snow was all created with liquid applique that was heat embossed.  Here's a close up of just the card front -

Don't forget that The Paper Shelter offers a fantastic prize if your creation features one of their images - a generous $30.00 gift certificate to spend in their store, and if you don't create with one of their images you can still win 3 free images!!!
