Happy Hannukah

One of the wonderful things about moving is meeting new people, and just a couple of short months after my move I had new neighbors.  The wife is Jewish, so for the first time I made a Happy Hannukah card, and gave it to them just the other day, to celebrate their faith.

The card features a digital stamp from Mo Manning colored with Copics and mounted on coordinating cardstock.  I handwrote the sentiment and the verse inside of the card.

Another Advent Calendar Done!!!!

I finally finished the second version of the Kaisercraft Advent calendar, and as promised last week, here's the photos.

This version is for my son who loves winter outdoor sports, so I used Bo Bunny's Powder Mountain collection of paper with a white and blue theme.  The center features a gnome ornament holding on to skis, sitting on snowballs - you can't get any more wintery than this!!  Here's a close up of the center -

Hooray!!! It''s time for those Ugly Sweaters!!!

Tis the season for those lovely UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATERS to be dug out from the back of your closet, and to be proudly worn for every one's pleasure.  My card today features this annual event with the use of the Art Impressions Ugly Sweater Stamp set

After coloring the image with my Copic Sketch Markers, I used a Copic Multiliner to draw the lines on the bells back in, then fussy cut the image and mounted it on the inside of the card with an Action Wobbler.  The image is framed with a cut-out made with a Spellbinders die.  An older  Bo Bunny dp is the card front and inside.  The awesome sentiment is included with the image stamp.

My First Advent Calendar

A few months ago I bought a Kaiser Craft advent calendar kit ( or two ), and I finally took the plunge to put it together.  While the initial prep work of painting, cutting, and pasting is time consuming, the final project is worth the time and effort, don't you think!!!

The paper I used on this advent is from Kaiser, while the embellishments are all from my stash.  The deer is a Tim Holtz die, and the trees are from a local craft store.
Here's a couple of close ups of the details -

Now I'm off to finish another calendar with a totally different look - keep watching for photos of that version.

If you are a regular to my blog, you will know that I adore penguins - big, small, cute and fluffy, just as long as the image is a penguin I will own it!!!  So for today's post for One Crazy Stamper I have used my Copic markers to color up this super cute Whimsy Stamps image "Penguin Joy"

After coloring the image I added Red Viva Décor Pearl Pen to the berries, and white Liquid Applique and Snowdust Stickles to add more dimension and shine.  The card front features designer paper from Carta Bella's So This is Christmas collection.

Winter White

Time to create an all white card with the monthly theme from One Crazy Stamper of Christmas.  I don't make all white cards very often, but when they turn out as well as this one did, I often think why not do this a lot more!

The card starts with a white card base layered with a front created by using a Sizzix embossing folder to create depth.  Over that I have layered a white ribbon, and a Spellbinder die shape that features an all white Memory Box die called "Glowing Candles".  The sentiment was stamped with Versa Mark embossing ink, then embossed with a white emboss powder, while the edges were lightly inked with a silver ink pad.  Simple yet elegant!

Chasing Snowflakes

Another weekend and yet another snowstorm approaching us here in Central Alberta.  The last two weekends we have had tons of snow, making roads and sidewalks icy, and now sometime tonight the snow is suppose to start falling again.  What else can a woman do, but celebrate the white stuff!!!!

Once again I have colored up an adorable Eat Cake Graphics image with my Copic markers - this is Paisley - Jane hitches onto a Snowflake.  Doesn't she look like she's having fun!!!  After fussy cutting the image I mounted it on a card front featuring Echo Park Winter Wishes dp, a Spellbinders Grand die, Joy Crafts Ice Crystal 3 die, and a sentiment from Stampendous.  The finishing touches include ribbon and some sparkly snowflake buttons.

Wishing you all a great day, and if you get any of that lovely white stuff just enjoy it!!

Cup of Cocoa

The colder weather is definitely here now, with probably more on the way, and today's project for One Crazy Stamper would be an ideal gift for someone special.

I have colored up the High Hopes image "Snowy's Cup" with my Copics, then fussy cut the image and placed it on a little gift bag that I created using my Scor-pal.  I used the Martha Stewart Snowflake border punch as a decoration around the base of the bag, and added touches of glittler with a Sakura Clear Star pen, and red berries with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen.  The bag is full of hot chocolate mix and a couple of cinnamon sticks to add some extra flavor.  The sentiment "Cup of Cocoa" is the perfecrt way to present this gift!

November Challenge Theme

Welcome to a new monthly challenge for One Crazy Stamper, where we would like you to celebrate November with all of your gorgeous Christmas cards.  My card this week has NO coloring!!!!!!  Yes that's right, I did not pick up a Copic marker, or a waterpen and my distress reinkers, to create my card, instead I experimented with Stampendous enamels and color fragments.

I started by stamping several sizes of the Just Rite poinsettia set on to red and jade cardstock with a Versa Mark Embossing Ink pad, then sprinkled them with Ranger Embossing Tinsel and used my heat gun to emboss all of them.  The jade cardstock was put aside, while I fussy cut the red poinsettia's out, then bent and layered the three varying sizes and added a gold brad to form three flowers.  I put those aside, and went back to the jade cardstock and randomly used the Versa Mark Embossing ink pad on the card front, and sprinkled the Stampendous Aged Silver Embossing Enamel over the wet ink.  To add more depth I used both the Stampendous Powder Blue Color Fragments, and the Stampendous Chiffon Color Fragments intermixed in the Aged Silver Enamel, and then heat everything up from the bottom side of the card front.  To finish the card front I attached ribbon and the finished flowers, and a sentiment that I found in my stash - the sentiment was cut with a Spellbinders die.

Since it's a new month there is a new challenge theme at One Crazy Stamper of Christmas projects, and if you enter you could win a fantastic prize - check out the details here.
