Crazy Quilt

Gotta love the girlfriend stamp sets from Art Impressions and this one is no exception!  This beauty was colored with Copics and then I added highlights and shadows with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.

I am entering this card into the following challenge -

Days be Merry and Bright

I adore penguin images and this sweet little stack of them couldn't possibly get any cuter!  This is "Penguin Stackers" from Art Impressions available here.  I have colored the image with Copics and then added Prismacolor pencils to make highlights and shadows.  A touch of Wink of Stella gold on the star, and white fun flock add some glitter and dimension to the card.

Who Let the Christmas Dogs Out?

I recently purchased this adorable set of dog images from Art Impressions stamps, and I just had to play with them immediately.

Each image is colored with Copics, then fussy cut and placed on the backgrounds that I created with distress inks.  The addition of Stampendous Frantage Embossing Enamel helps create the look of falling snow on several of the cards.

Weekend Warrior

I have a card to share with you today as well as a quick tutorial, but first the card!

This would be a great card for the special man in your life, whether it be for a birthday, anniversary or Father's Day.  The image and sentiment are from the Art Impressions Weekend Warrior set that I have colored with Copics, then mounted it on dp from My Mind's Eye.  The ribbon and brads are from my stash.

Card Recipe
Skin - E01, E11, E13
Shirt/Hat - BG72, BG75, BG78
Pants/Hat - B21, B23, B24, B26
Gloves/Belt - Y21, Y23, Y26, Y28
Mask, Belt, Tools - W4, W7, W10
Drill - R24, R29, R39
Shadow under hat - C2
Ground - C2
Hat, Boots, Hammer Handle - E21, E23, E25
Background - YG61

Now here's my tutorial and it's for everyone out there who is tried of nozzles on adhesive bottles always being plugged.  All you need to fix the problem is some baby bottle nipples and a small piece of double sided foam tape.  What?!!!

Purchase baby bottle nipples that are silicone ( because the liquid will not stick to it ), will fit small bottles ( not the large size ), and are for 0+months in size.  My first attempt at buying the bottle nipples was wrong, so learn from my mistake and don't buy the brand Nuby Veri Flo Non-Drip kind - they have the wrong tip.  The Gerber brand pictured above is great!

After removing the original lid and cleaning off any old remnants of glue from around the neck of the bottle, tightly wrap one ( or two layers - this will depend of the width of the neck of the bottle - experiment and you will soon figure it out ) of the foam tape around the neck, then press it firmly around the neck.  Next stretch the baby bottle nipple over the tape until it is well seated around the rim, and then press firmly around the neck, sealing the bond between the nipple and the foam tape.

Now you are ready to use your new and improved bottle of adhesive with no plugs.

The other benefit is that you will be able to do thin lines of adhesive, or with more pressure you can thicken the lines.
Once you are done using the bottle just make sure to leave a small drop of the adhesive on the very tip of the bottle, which will dry and seal the hole.

The next time you need to use the bottle just flick off the dried adhesive on the tip and proceed to use.

So easy to do and you will love the result!

With a Little Help

Okay, where on earth do the days go?  It is hard to believe that another month is soon ending and the fourth month is just around the corner.  Between coloring, planning card making classes, studying medical terminology and now a new grand fur baby to babysit, my days are flying by.

The weather here in southern Alberta has been exceptional, no snow to be seen and some people are saying that the plants are starting to peek out of the ground, so the days of warmer coats is coming to an end, but I fell in love with this gorgeous Art Impressions image and had to color it up.  This is Bench Set available here at One Crazy Stamper, that I have colored with Copic sketch markers and then cut and matted with a Spellbinder die.  The dp and ribbons are from my stash, and the sentiment is one of three that comes with the image.
You still have a few days left to enter the challenge to win a fabulous prize from One Crazy Stamper!

Laughter is....

“In Like A Lion, Out Like a Lamb”
How is your month of March coming in?  Growing up we always used to say that if March came in like a lion, it would go out like a lamb, but if it came in like a lamb then expect it to go out like a lion!  So how is your month of March shaping up?

Since it's a new month, it is time to start a new challenge at One Crazy Stamper, and this month we are asking you to create an ANYTHING GOES project to enter and win a great prize.

My card features a wonderful Art Impressions image entitled Laughing (single) that I colored with Copics then cut and matted with a Spellbinder die before layering on older Basic Grey dp.  A great sentiment from my stash and three pearls made with a Viva Décor red pearl pen finish the card front.

Once I started making Father's Day cards I seemed to get on a roll - actually completed four different styles, and today's card for One Crazy Stamper is one of the four!

This adorable image from Art Impressions called Old Guys Rule, is so hilarious, and could be used as either a Father's Day card, or just a card for the special guy in your life's special day.  I colored the image with my trusty Copic markers then mounted it on paper from My Mind's Eye.  The sentiment is included with the image.

Beach Time!

Wow, where did the month of May go?  It just seems like time is speeding by faster and faster, and here we are in the last week of May, with a new month looming - someone slow time down please!!
For my last card this month for One Crazy Stamper I have a wonderful image from Art Impressions entitled "Beach Booty set".

I love this set, and I had a blast designing this card!!  The image is colored with Copics, fussy cut, and then the front image was popped up with a double layer of 3D foam dots within an oval that I created by cutting the paper, and then curling the paper back, to expose the water patterned paper behind.  The signage embellishments, summer border and dp are all from Carta Bella's Beach Boardwalk collection, while the Hey beach BOOTY sentiment is included with the stamp set.  On the inside of the card, the back side of the image is popped up on an Action Wobble spring, that is also included with the stamp set.

Hooray!!! It''s time for those Ugly Sweaters!!!

Tis the season for those lovely UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATERS to be dug out from the back of your closet, and to be proudly worn for every one's pleasure.  My card today features this annual event with the use of the Art Impressions Ugly Sweater Stamp set

After coloring the image with my Copic Sketch Markers, I used a Copic Multiliner to draw the lines on the bells back in, then fussy cut the image and mounted it on the inside of the card with an Action Wobbler.  The image is framed with a cut-out made with a Spellbinders die.  An older  Bo Bunny dp is the card front and inside.  The awesome sentiment is included with the image stamp.
