Our Love is Written in the Stars

Good morning everyone!  It's been awhile since I last posted, and today is an extra special day - I am the guest designer at SheepSki Designs Digital Stamps on Facebook.  This is for challenge #42 Anything Goes with a optional twist of "I Love.....".  Anyone you knows me knows I adore penguin images, so how could I not color up the adorable "Cool Couple" which can be purchased here.

I printed the image onto Copic Xpress It cardstock, and then colored it with Copic markers and Prismacolor Pencils.  After the coloring was done I fussy cut the image.  For the background I used the following Ranger Distress Oxides to blend the perfect sky - Spun Sugar, Pickled Raspberry, and Festive Berries.  The constellations in the sky, which are embossed in white,  and the sentiment are from the Lawn Fawn stamp set - Upon a Star.

Eyes on the Prize

Today's card for One Crazy Stamper features two of my favorite images.  Both were colored with Inktense Pencils and water brushes.  I can just imagine the two of them getting in to all kinds of trouble.

This is High Hopes Rubber Stamps Little Sleuth ( R205) and his sidekick Watson (M100).  Both were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink on to water color paper, and then colored with Inktense pencils.

Card Recipe -
Inktense Pencils
Baked Earth 1800, Leaf Green 1600, Dark Chocolate 1930, Mustard 1700, Navy Blue 0830, Willow 1900, Saddle Brown 1740

Have a great day and be sure to check out the amazing projects all of the design team are sharing on the One Crazy Stamper blog.

A Merry Snowlady Wishes to You

Christmas in July is a great way to get a start on all of those Christmas cards that we always say we will make early, and then come late November we suddenly realize we don't have enough cards once again.  This week for One Crazy Stamper I have colored up the adorable Snowlady Surprise from High Hopes Rubber stamps.

The image was stamped on Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento ink and then colored with Copic sketch markers.  To add further dimension to the image I added Prismacolor pencils to the shadows and highlights, and blended it out with Gamsol.  Echo Park's Hello Winter paper is the card base, and the sentiment is from my stash - an old Waltzing Mouse stamp.

Gnomes at Night

Welcome to One Crazy Stampers release of the new High Hopes "A Magical Day" images.  Each day for the last week the design team members have been sharing their products using images from the release, and today it's my turn!!

This adorable image is "3 Little Garden Gnomes" that I instantly fell in love with!!  I stamped the image on Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and then colored it with Copics and added Prismacolor pencils for added depth and detail.  Each gnome hat received a touch of either Wink of Stella Gold, Sakura white glaze pen or Sakura Clear Star for added sparkle, and the crystal ball has hints of the white gel pen.  The image was then fussy cut and placed on the galaxy background I created with Lucky Clover, Peacock Feathers, Twisted Citron, Picked Raspberry and Black Soot distress inks.  For even more detail on the background I used the Sakura Glaze pen to add dots to represent stars!  The sentiment is also from the new release and is available here.

It's a Super Kind of Day!

I am working on perfecting the galaxy background and think I finally have it mastered!!  This super cute image is "You're Super" from My Favorite Things.

I stamped the image on Copic Xpress It cardstock with MFT's hybrid Black Licorice ink, and then colored it with Copics and Prismacolor pencils.  After fussy cutting the image and the yellow burst I placed them on to the background that I created with distress inks and an older Memory Box die.

Furever Beavers

Wednesday has rolled around again, so it's time for me to highlight a new to me High Hopes rubber stamp for One Crazy Stamper.  This week I am sharing the adorable image "Beavers Romance" available here, which would be a perfect image for Valentine's Day.  The sentiment is also a High Hopes rubber stamp that is available here.

The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on to Copic Xpress It cardstock, then colored with Copics.  Sakura white glaze pen covers the Luvs lettering to give it some shine, and the centers of the flowers are small dots of Viva Decor pearl pen.  The sentiment was stamped with Onyx Black Versafine ink pad on to kraft paper.

Countdown has begun

So today I have something a little different to show you for my One Crazy Stamper blog post - this is one of three advent calendars that I completed last month for friends and family.  I apologize for the poor quality photo, but I needed to get this one delivered before the end of November so that it could be mailed out, and as usual I didn't finish it until the last moment.

The base of the calendar is an older Kaisercraft kit, that you assemble and then decorate with your choice of paper, ink and embellishments.  After painting all of the pieces I choose dp from Simple Stories Cozy Christmas collection to decorate all of the boxes and the sides of the calendar.  All of the edges were inked with  Versafine Vintage Sepia, then the fun began.  I used a mix of embellishments to decorate the individual boxes including ribbon, brads, charms, buttons, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Countdown Charms, while the center scene was built with Tim Holtz bottle brush trees, and a bird bath ornament.
