The Paper Shelter's 88th Challenge - Anything Goes

This is my second post today, so if you're looking for my post for Creative Craft Challenges, please scroll down to post below.

Today is the start of the 88th challenge at The Paper Shelter, and the theme is the ever popular Anything Goes - so we want to see your wonderful creations that could include scrapbook pages, altered items, cards, etc, etc - the sky is the limit!!

I've colored up the image "Cutest Ice Cream Cart" with my Copics, and then used Viva Decor pearl pens to add a chocolate glaze to some of the ice cream products.   I used  different colors of the pearl pens to add random floating pearls and a border of pearls to the bottom edge of the card.  The bubble die is from Memory Box, the included sign image was popped up on the corner of the card for added dimension.

The Paper Shelter offers one of the best prizes for the winner of the challenge - if you use a Paper Shelter image you win a $30.00 gift certificate to the store, and if your creation does not have a Paper Shelter image, you can still win and receive 3 images of your choice.  So get your creative caps on and enter to win!!!

Happy Easter????? - what!!!!

The challenge at Creative Craft Challenge for the next fortnight is to create something to celebrate a special occasion, but no birthday themes are allowed.  The sponsor for the challenge is Bugaboo Digi Stamps, and I got to play with this cute image.

This was a really fun image to color with my Copics, and actually, it was nice to not be coloring another Halloween or Christmas card - a nice bright spring colored theme for this cutie.  The papers, ribbon and sentiment are all from my stash!!

Hop on over to Creative Craft Challenges, and check out the rest of the design teams wonderful projects, then enter to win a fabulous prize from our sponsors.

Clearful Bird!!!!!

Okay today's post title is a little bit of a play on words - it should probably be a Cheerful Bird!! For today's card at One Crazy Stamper the card front features Impression Obsession's Bird collage image, stamped on clear acetate with Versamark, then embossed with gold embossing enamel.
The edges were also embossed with gold embossing enamel with the addition of glided fragments and chiffon color fragments. Using the Crop-a-dile each corner received a red eyelet and gold 20 gauge wire was threaded through the eyelets. A prima rose was colored with R39 and attached to the card front with a glue dot.
Today is the last day to enter the challenge at One Crazy Stamper - the theme this month is clear/acetate, and you can win an awesome prize, so hurry and enter to win.

Bundle Up

Winter has arrived earlier than ever in Calgary this year - there's already over six inches of snow on the ground and we haven't seen the plus side of the thermometer in a week, so it's time to bundle up!!

This cute image was colored with copics and highlighted with Diamond Glaze on the heart and star, and white liquid emboidery on the snowman hat trim.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark and then traced with a Sakura white Glaze pen!

A Wee Halloween Greeting

One Crazy Stamper just received the October release of Whimsy Stamps, and there was one image that was just calling out to me to be colored.  This is "Batty Boo" from Wee Stamps!!!

I have colored the image with Copics and highlighted the inside of the cape, and the eyes of the pumpkin with Smooch Top Coat Illuminate to give that extra glow!!  The dp is from Carta Bella's All Hallow's Eve collection, and the bats, tombstones and sentiment are from my stash!

"Boo"tiful Light

Tuesday is here again, which means it's my turn to show off my project for One Crazy Stamper, and guess what - I don't have a card to show you this week!!!!!

This week I've created an adorable tealite holder with a Halloween theme.  I stamped the image "Boo Family in Frame" from High Hopes four times on vellum paper, colored the images with Copics, and then made a square tealite holder from a piece of black cardstock.  The lid as well as the inside base were made with the cardstock and the use of a Scor-Buddy tool.  The tealite is battery powered so that there is no fire hazard!  I think that a few more of these lined up on the front step for Halloween night would make a wonderful welcome for the trick or treaters!!!

Parieee!!!!

Springtime in Paris!!!
Okay it's not really spring and I am definetly not in Paris, but a girl can dream!!  Tomorrow's weather is going to be almost the complete opposite - high of somewhere around +2C with a rain and snow mix, leading up to even cooler weather and more snow in the coming days.

It was time to do something a little bit different, so this project is actually the front of a travel mini album for a friend who recently did travel to France.  The image is Xaandra and Vespa from MayzyArt, that I colored with Copics, then popped up on the album cover that features a laser cur die from Want 2 Scrap.

200 Followers - Success!!!

Wow, I've done it ( with a little help from my friend, Crystal )!!!!  I now have 200 followers and it's time to choose the winners of the two candies.  I could have used random.org, but instead thought that I'd do things a little bit different, soooooo.....

Here's now I picked the numbers......

First - take scraps of paper, number them 1 - 19 ( number of comments I received )
     - next eliminate number 17 due to duplicate comments

Second - scrunge up the numbers and throw them on the floor

Third - enlist the help of the newest furball in the family - she loves to steal my cards to use as chewies so it seemed to be a logical choice

Fourth - call in re-enforcements since there seemed to be a distinct lack of cooperation

Fifth - finally some interest is being shown and.....

Sixth - pick the first winner

Seventh - the second winner is mighty tasty

Eighth - the two winning numbers

I have left comments on the winners blogs and if possible sent an email to them, so congratulations go out to
#8 Sonia from Italy
#5 Alexandra from Russia

Till my next candy, which hopefully will be soon, thank you to all of my followers both old and new for all of the encourgement and wonderful comments, making this whole blogging world a fantastic experience!!!

Thanks to Nova and Roo for helping me choose the winners!!

Cowboy Christmas

Howdy Christmas to you!

Okay, I know that it's a little too early for this greeting, but a friend invited me to participate in one of the bigger local craft sales in Calgary, so I have been madly creating for the past three weeks, getting cards ready to sell.  Because Calgary is regarded as a cowboy town I thought that this card just might be popular.

This is High Hope Stamps "Cowboy Snowman" image colored with Copics, then fussy cut and popped up on an all white card front.  The card front was created with the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Holiday Magic Reversible Embossing Folder, and two trees cut with the Marianne Design Creatables Christmas Tree die that then received a coat of Diamond Dust.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps Holiday Notables 1, while the frame around the sentiment is the Whimsy Elegant Notables 1 die and Notables 1 Die .   All of the items that are highlighted are available at One Crazy Stamper - either online or at the brick and mortar store in Bolton, Ontario.

TPS #86 Charming Little Witch

Two weeks have flown by and it's time again for Team B to show off their beautiful creations for The Paper Shelter's challenge #86, and the theme is "CHARMING" ( add a charm to your final project ).

This is the image "I May Have Exaggerated a Bit" colored with Copics, then popped up on one of the gorgeous digital papers from the Paper Shelter.  The border is a punch from Martha Stewart, the spider and web are both Memory Box dies and the broom sentiment is from Recollections set.  The skull charm is from Jolee's and purple glitter highlights complete the card.

The winner of this challenge will receive a $30 Voucher for The Paper Shelter if their project includes a TPS image, or if you use another image you will still win 3 images of your choice.

A New Challenge for Me

Good day everyone, and welcome to my first post for Creative Craft Challenges, and not only is this my first post as part of the design team but it's their 3rd birthday!  Happy birthday to us!!!

So, in honour of this grand occasion the theme this fortnight is The Number Three.  You can choose to interpret the number 3 any way you want.  We have three great sponsors this time - Robyn's Fetish, Stamping Dragon and Lili of the Valley.

I have colored and flocked this image from Robyn's Fetish, then added the numbers 1, 2, and 3 to the blocks.  I punched the number and alphabet border three times and added three buttons to finish off the card.
Please stop over at Creative Craft Challenges to see the rest of teams inspirational projects, and then enter to win.

Summer Relaxing

Here's another of the new Art Impressions tri-fold stamps - I've colored it with Distress Inks then highlighted the flower pots with various Flower Soft colors.  I still have the Harvest image to color up, so keep on checking back for the next tri-fold.

Autumn Days

There is a crispness in the air, leaves are turning color and falling to the ground, and it's time for Terrific Tuesday at One Crazy Stamper.  The challenge this month is to make a project with clear/acetate elements.

This is High Hopes "Hay Ride", which I colored with Copics, fussy cut and then mounted on a raised shaker box.  The shaker box is filled with glitter and beads to represent the changing autumn colors.  Both the frame and the background dp is from Simple Stories Harvest Lane collection pack.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps Autumn Letter Seals, which I also purchased at One Crazy Stamper.

Hop on over to the challenge blog and take a peek at all of the wonderful inspiration the design team brings to you every day, and while you are there check out the details of the current Design team call!

BOO to You

I seem to have totally skipped the Halloween season, and gone straight to Christmas cards, so it's time to step back to one of my favorite times of year!

This adorable little puppy is "Mummy Dog" from Whimsy Stamps artist Meljen, and is available to purchase at One Crazy Stamper.  I've colored the image with Copics, punched one edge of the cropped image with a Martha Stewart border punch, matted, and then layered the finished dog on cheesecloth and dp from Carta Bella All Hallows Eve collection. The sentiment is from Recollections Halloween Sayings stamp set.

Happy Boo to You All!!!!

The Kid in all of Us

I'm still working on the kickin' the last of those nasty airline germs, so here's another card that I did prior to getting sick.

This is "Present Bear" from Nellie Snellen available at One Crazy Stamper.  I have colored the image with Copics, cut the image out with a Spellbinders Eyelets Circles die, embossed and inked the die shape, and popped up the result on dp from My Mind's Eye Merry paper pad.  The lace is from my favorite local fabric store, who carries an awesome stock of lace and ribbon ( so much stock that I can only go once or twice a year, cause it's hard to stop shopping ).

The Paper Shelter Challenge #84

Time for Team B to host the challenge at The Paper Shelter and this week we would love to see your project with the theme of "DISTRESSING".

I wanted to try a little bit of layering along with the distressing that I included on this card, so I printed two of the same digital papers from The Paper Shelter, and then fussy cut certain images to add dimension.  The paper is part of the "Arizona Fantasy" digital paper pack available here.  The card celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness month.  To add more texture and dimension I've crumbled the paper then inked and sanded it, and added pearl swirls for the final touch.

The winner of this challenge will receive a $30 Voucher for The Paper Shelter if their project includes a TPS image, or if you use another image you will still win 3 images of your choice.
