Join the dt in showing off your project, and enter to win a great prize.
I recently opened my home to International students studying English at the University of Calgary, and have welcomed two young ladies from Japan.  So when I was leaving comments on a blog recently, I saw this cutie and knew that I had to find the source.
This is Yuki from Sister Stamps,  just one of the designs available, colored with Copics, mounted on two Spellbinders Fleur de lis pendants, and popped up on paper from the Bo Bunny Blitzen collection.  The sentiment is from Whimsy stamps.

Snowflake Beauty

It's time for Team Buddly to show off their projects for Cuddly Buddly's Let's Keep Creating Challenge, and our theme for the next fortnight is White on White.  For this challenge I get to work with a Karen Middleton digital image, so I chose "Christmas Ladies - Snowflake".

The image was colored with the four grey families of Copic Sketch markers, except for the eyes and lips which have a touch of color added to them.  Glitter was added to the snowflakes, and snowflake buttons from Jesse James were attached to both layers of the easel card.  The card was cut with Spellbinders Grand Labels 11, and the paper that the image was attached to was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, then trimed with diamond dust.  The sentiment from Waltzingmouse was embossed with silver, then covered with a holographic embossing powder.

Autumn Wishes

If you haven't noticed, I love Crissy Armstrong's collection of images, whether their digital or rubber, so for my card this week on One Crazy Stamper's challenge blog, I used the adorable Pum Kinnie Fairy from Whimsy Stamps, and available here

The image was colored with Copics, cut with a die from Spellbinders Shapeabilities Ornate Artisan Tags and Accents, and layered over designer paper from the Bo Bunny Forever Fall collection.  All of the edges were distressed with Tim Holtz Spiced Marmalade Distress ink, and the pearls were made with a turquoise Viva Decor pearl pen.  Although it does not really show in this photo, the wings were painted with Smooch Pearlized Top Coat, to add a touch of glimmer.

Act of Kindness

Good morning everybody!  I hope you are all having a wonderful day - do you realize that Christmas is only two months away?  Wow, how time flies when you're busy coloring!!  Today it's my turn to post a card on the Sundays with Crissy blog and the theme for October is Thanks or Thanksgiving.  Since the Canadian Thanksgiving was celebrated a couple of weeks ago, I decided to make a Thank You card using the digital image "Rose Butterfly" available here at Whimsy Stamps.

The image was colored with Copics, cut with Spellbinders Label 15 leaving the wings on the right outside of the die.  The orange dp is from Bo Bunnys Forever Fall 6 x 6 paper pad, and the sheet music is from Authentiques Glowing collection.  I distressed the edges of the dp's and inked all the elements with brown.  The ribbon is seam binding that was inked, wrapped with jute, and I attached a heart charm from my stash.  The sentiments are from a Flourishes stamp set.
Head on over to Sundays with Crissy, check out the other design team members beautiful creations and enter the challenge to win 5 digital images.

I printed out my background paper from Robyn' Fetish Fright Night Digi Paper Collection, and then added the witch on her broom using an older Inkadinkado stamp, which was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with a wonderful black glittery embossing powder.  The edges of the card were also treated with the same embossing powder.  My image is Marky Mummy also from Robyn's Fetish, which is colored with Copics, fussy cut and adhered to the front of the card.  I found the cat and halloween bag buttons in my stash, and they completed the design, along with a sentiment from my ever growing collection of stamps.

Christmas Elegance

As part of the Cuddly Buddly  pre-release team I get the chance to work with the images before they are available on-line, and this past week I was given one of Karen Middleton's images that is available for purchase now.  This elegant image is "Holly and Ivy" and was printed out on water color paper, painted with Tim Holtz Distress Inks, and then I did the burnished velvet technique with a clear glitter.

The image was cut with a Spellbinders Scalloped Oval, popped up with foam dots onto the dp which is from Basic Grey's Figgy collection.  The dies were all cut with Tim Holtz's Festive Greenery, and rhinestones from my stash added the final touch.
Cuddly Buddly is also giving away over 100 free digital images from their archives so hop on over to the store and check out the super cute digis.  While you're there also check out the newest releases and all of the other wonderful products that you can purchase from this awesome on-line store.

Save The Hooters!!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so in honor of all of those wonderful ladies in our life's who have fought the battle - this one is for you!!!

I found this cute image this past weekend while surfing the net - it's from Whimsy Doodles and is called "Save the Hooters!", and it comes with the sentiment.  I colored the image with Copics, cut it out with Spellbinders Reverse Wonky Rectangles, attached a crocheted, beaded ribbon around the edge, and then mounted it on to brown cardstock.  The dp is from Prima's Sparkling Spring collection, and I used a Martha Stewart eyelet border punch along the bottom edge, before mounting it onto pink cardstock.  The pink pearls are mounted on the brown cardstock that is the inside of the card, the Think Pink sentiment is from MFT, and the charm is from Charm Gallery that I colored with Copic RV06.

My First Sugar Nellie!!

Yes, I finally gave in to the desire to add some of the super sweet images from Sugar Nellie to my collection!  My first Sugar Nellie card features "Wish Upon a Star" and was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic Xpress It paper, and then colored with Copics.  All of the markers I used are from the "E" family of colors, except for Y26, Y28 and R89 for the stars.

I used a bronze gel pen to highlight the flowers in her hair, details on the wings, the bells, and the trim on the bottom of the skirt.  The layers of papers were distressed with an edge tool, inked with Vintage Distress Ink, and outlined with bronze glitter glue.  The Prima flower was brushed with the same bronze glitter glue, and the sentiment was embossed with copper.  Coffee colored pearls and Prima lace complete the card.
This is my card for the dt at Dream Valley Challenges - this fortnight the challenge is Monochromatic.  Please check out the beautiful cards that the rest of the team have designed for this challenge, and then play along with us!!!
