The Bestest Birthday Ever

Woo Hoo, Thursday has rolled around again which means it's my turn to showcase a project for One Crazy Stamper, and I have another adorable Petunia image today!!

Say hello to Petunia Has a Party from Stamping Bella!  I have colored the image with my trusty Copic sketch markers, then added sparkle with a Sakura Clear Star pen, and white dots around the image with a Sakura white Glaze pen.  After cutting and matting the image with a Spellbinder die, and inking the edges with either Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet or Wild Honey distress inks, I then mounted it on the card front which features Authentique dp.  The sentiment is included with the image and finished off the card perfectly.

You Are My Everything

The big day is fast approaching - Valentine's is just a few days away and in honor of that special day my card today is a perfect fit.  When I made the card I kept in non specific ( no Valentine reference ) so that it can be used for several special occasions such as an anniversary.

The image is from Lili of the Valley and is called Secretly Yours - I have colored it with Copics and then paired it with papers from Bo Bunny.  The mats were all cut with a Spellbinder die, while the ribbon and sentiment are from my stash.

Snowman builders

Anyone who knows me knows that I adore penguin images, so when Lili of the Valley recently came out with some new images featuring my favorite little birds I just had to order them.  This sweet image is entitled "Penguin Pals" and I have colored it with non traditional colors using my Copic markers.

The image was cut out with a Spellbinder die, then mounted on paper from Simple Stories Cozy Christmas collection.  Ribbon from my stash and Stickles covered snowflakes help finish off the card, while the sentiment is also from the Simple Stories collection.

Bear Hugs to You!!!

It's Terrific Tuesday Time again for One Crazy Stamper, and my card this month features an adorable image from our sponsor this month which is YOUR NEXT STAMP.  Be sure to check out the design team blog and then get crafting to enter this months challenge theme of ANYTHING GOES!  For full details click here.

This sweet image is the YNS image Kyle the Koala Bear, which I colored with Copics.  I started by coloring the body, and then using the terry towel technique with Copic Blender Solution, creating the fur texture of the bear.  After completing the coloring I used a Spellbinder die to cut out and mat the image.  The dp is from an older Authentique collection, while both of the sentiments are included with the image.

Another LOTV, but a Different Coloring Medium

That's right, I actually have another Lili of the Valley new Christmas image colored and ready to show off.  This time though I've colored this adorable image entitled "Penguin Presents" with my distress ink reinkers and a water brush!

I also decided to make this card into an easel card, which I haven't done in awhile - sorry but I forgot to take a photo of the inside of the card.  I used both the Spellbinders  and Spellbinders Grand dies, Big Scalloped Circles, to cut the various layers for the card, and a Memory Box die to create the flourishes.  The sentiment is from my all time favorite set of Christmas sayings from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  Keep watching, as I just might have one more LOTV image on another cute Christmas card to show you in the next day or so!

Sending You Sunshine

I have colored up this ultra cute image from Whimsy Stamps artist Crissy Armstrong called Fistful of Flowers.

The image is colored with Copics, fussy cut and then mounted on the inside of the card.  The card front has a scalloped circle opening cut with a Spellbinder die, and a frame is also cut with two Spellbinder dies.  The paper is from Dovecraft's Garden Party collection, sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps, and the flowers are from Prima.

Spring is a Day Away!!!!

Tomorrow is the first day of spring, so to celebrate the return of the nicer weather, and the glorious anticipation of flowers I made this bright, cheerful easel card.

This is Bella Sole Collecting Daisies from Whimsy Stamps artist Elizabeth Bell. I have stamped the image on Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored it with Copics. The image was cut and matted with Spellbinders Label 14, and popped up on the card base that was cut with a Spellbinder Grand Label Four die. The greenery was cut with both a Memory Box Leafy Branch die, and a Memory Box Madera Corner die, cut apart and layered.

The interior of the easel card features a Spellbinder Tag die with a birthday sentiment, and flowers punched out of yellow vellum. All of the flower centers are made with the Viva Decor Dark Brown Pearl Pen.
There are still several days left to create a project to enter the challenge at One Crazy Stamper - the theme is Anything Goes!!

Are you ready?

That's right - for all of you procrastinators out there, you only have nine days left until Valentine's Day is here.  For today's Terrific Tuesday post at One Crazy Stamper I colored up the Valentines Petals image from Saturated Canary. but I didn't want to use the traditional colors of a valentine card.

Whenever I start to color an image, I always start by choosing my papers, so for this little cutie I choose First Editions Hideaway collection with these bright citrus colors.  After the paper is picked, I can then match the Copics for a perfect combination.  The sentiment, one of three that are included with the image, was stamped and mounted on a Spellbinder die frame, and the pearls were made with the Viva Decor Salmon Pearl pen.

Card Recipe
 Skin - E00, E01, E11

Daddy's Sweetheart

Just a quick post to show you another image from Saturated Canary, that I recently had the chance to color and use on a card front.

This adorable little sweetie is Daddy's Girl from artist Krista Smith, and is available to purchase here at One Crazy Stamper.  I have colored her with Copics, cut and matted her with a Spellbinders die, then mounted her on dp from First Edition Paper Summer Breeze collection.  The heart border is a Martha Stewart punch, and the ribbon is from my stash.  Here's the sentiment on the inside....

Another adorable Saturated Canary image to show today, and a new stamp for me - this is "Stockings", which I have colored with Copics, then cut and matted with Spellbinders Label's Twenty Five.  The dp is from Carta Bella's Winter Fun collection, Snowflake Corner and Frosty Border are both from Memory Box, and the sentiment is from Flourishes.  Stickles were randomly added to the finished card front to add some glimmer, and the edges of the card were inked with Gathered Twigs distress ink.

Winter with Kenny K!!!

This is my second post for today, so if you are looking for my post for One Crazy Stamper, please scroll down to the last post.

Time for my next card as one of the guest designers at Loves Rubberstamps!!!  This time the theme is to create a Winter scene, and the sponsor is Kenny K!

I decided to work with this wonderful image from Kenny K entitled "Helga Frost".  After coloring her with Copics and fussy cutting the image, I placed her on to an ice cube I created.  The side step card features an icicle and penguin border punch from Martha Stewart, as well as an EK Success tree border punch, that were all sprayed with Vanilla Smooch to add glimmer.  Behind the image is two Spellbinder die cut snowflakes that also received a coat of glimmer.  The sentiment is from my stash, and adds a touch of tongue in cheek greeting to a cool winter scene.

Trumpet the News

Hark the Herald, Angels Sing!
Okay, okay,  it's a mouse angel, and she's trumpeting along with her birdie friend not singing, but you get the point!!

This is the House Mouse "Birdie-Ful Duet" image stamped on watercolor paper, then painted with Distress inks.  Stickles add a shimmer to the wings, and Diamond Glaze adds a shine to the berries.  The finished image was cut and matted with Spellbinders Label 25, and the edges were distressed with Brushed Corduroy ink.  The dp is from Authentique's Peaceful collection, the ribbon and the lace are from my stash.

Icicle Dreams

Okay, today is a surprise post from me for One Crazy Stamper - seems lately I have been creating cards at a faster pace than normal, so here's one of my latest. This super cute image is from Penny Black and the artist Mo Manning and is entitled "Winter Fairy".

The image was stamped on Copic Xpress It cardstock, colored with Copics, and then blinged with Icicle Stickles and flocking. The image was cut with Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals One, as was the first layer, then all of the layers were placed on a card base created with Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Ovals. The lace and flowers are from my stash, with the centers of the flowers receiving both Icicle Stickles and light blue pearls created with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

The card is one of my favorite styles - an easel - with the inside featuring the same flowers surrounding a sentiment framed with a Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three die.

Beary White Christmas

It's beginning to look a LOT like Christmas, or at least if you live in central or northern Alberta it is - my best friend called earlier today to whine and ask me to turn off the snow making machine, but I declined!!!  She didn't turn if off a couple of weeks ago, when we Calgarians got hit with the first snowfall of the season, and I called to whine to her, so turnabout is fair game.  Although ..... we are also suppose to get some snow, but not nearly as much as they have received so far.

So to celebrate the great white stuff, my card today is an all white creation - colored with Copics, embossed with a Spellbinders folder, framed with two Marianne Designs trees, and then everything is all glittered and shined.  The image is from Wild Rose Studios and is entitled "Polar Bears", one of their newest releases - I love, love, love Wild Rose Studio images!!!

Cowboy Christmas

Howdy Christmas to you!

Okay, I know that it's a little too early for this greeting, but a friend invited me to participate in one of the bigger local craft sales in Calgary, so I have been madly creating for the past three weeks, getting cards ready to sell.  Because Calgary is regarded as a cowboy town I thought that this card just might be popular.

This is High Hope Stamps "Cowboy Snowman" image colored with Copics, then fussy cut and popped up on an all white card front.  The card front was created with the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Holiday Magic Reversible Embossing Folder, and two trees cut with the Marianne Design Creatables Christmas Tree die that then received a coat of Diamond Dust.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps Holiday Notables 1, while the frame around the sentiment is the Whimsy Elegant Notables 1 die and Notables 1 Die .   All of the items that are highlighted are available at One Crazy Stamper - either online or at the brick and mortar store in Bolton, Ontario.

The Kid in all of Us

I'm still working on the kickin' the last of those nasty airline germs, so here's another card that I did prior to getting sick.

This is "Present Bear" from Nellie Snellen available at One Crazy Stamper.  I have colored the image with Copics, cut the image out with a Spellbinders Eyelets Circles die, embossed and inked the die shape, and popped up the result on dp from My Mind's Eye Merry paper pad.  The lace is from my favorite local fabric store, who carries an awesome stock of lace and ribbon ( so much stock that I can only go once or twice a year, cause it's hard to stop shopping ).

Vintage/Shabby Chic Party Time

This is my second post for today, so if you are looking for my One Crazy Stamper post please scroll down.

The Paper Shelter is sponsoring Party Time Tuesday's Challenge today, and they asked if some of the TPS design team members could submit a card for inspiration.  The challenge theme is Vintage/Shabby Chic and this is the card I've designed using the image "Beautiful Mermaid".  The image is colored with Copics and mounted on K and Company's Julianne collection paper.  The dies are from Spellbinders, sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie, and the pearl trim is from my stash.

Let's Play

Masculine or a male themed card or project, that's the theme for One Crazy Stamper's monthly challenge.  Today I chose two Nellie Snellen images to feature - I was so happy when OCS started to carry these little cuties.

The image on the front of the card is "Indian Warrior", while the inside has "Yippie-Yeah" ( Cowboy on Horse ).  Both images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, on Copic's Xpress It cardstock, then colored with Copics.  The dp is from my stash, and the sentiment is from an older stamp set from Waltzingmouse.  The motifs are from the Ironworks Spellbinders die set.

SUPER Man? Dad? Hero?

Happy April Fools Day everybody!!!  I don't have a joke or a prank for you today, but I do have my card for this month's challenge at One Crazy Stamper!!
The challenge is "MASCULINE" and there is a fantastic prize for the winner!

What says masculine more than the Super dude of all time!!  This image is Superhero from Kenny K for Whimsy Stamps, and for the first time I did a black monochromatic card using nothing but the T Copics.  The image frame is Spellbinders Label 21, and the sentiment, dp and ribbon are from my stash.  The pearls were made with a Viva Decor Anthracite Pearl pen, and the faux stitching was done with a metallic silver pen.
Check out the rest of the design teams wonderful creations and then get creative and enter the challenge to win.
