Dreamy Dragon

Surprise!!!
As a last minute favor for Design team member Aaemie I get to post another card this week for One Crazy Stamper, and it's a bright spring colored card to finally celebrate the arrival of spring here in Alberta.  ( Shhhhh, don't say it too loud, or the winter fairies might just decide to return and share a few more flakes of snow - horror!!! )

This adorable little dragon is taking a well deserved nap and dreaming of all of the pretty flowers soon to arrive.  I have colored up Dreamy Dragon from Whimsy Stamps artist Sylvia Zet with my Copics, then added Icicle Stickles to the flowers for that extra shimmer and shine.  The image was cut and matted with the Spellbinders Big Scalloped Circles die.  Paper flowers are all from my stash of Prima, while the flower centers are either Kaiser rhinestones, pearls made with the Cream Viva Decor Pearl Pen, or cream Kaiser self adhesive pearls

This week I have once again colored with my Copics, and then used Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol to add depth to this image - Wind Beneath My Wings from Whimsy Stamps artist Crissy Armstrong.  The image was cut and matted with Spellbinders Labels Twenty Eight, Star Dust Stickles were added to the wings and ribbons and Kaiser Craft Flowers were added to the card front.

Today is Your Day!!

I have a wonderful group of ladies that love to color cards using the painting with Distress Inks technique, and at a recent class they were all talking about the fact that each and every one of them has a child graduating from high school this year.  After they had left for the evening I thought that I should just maybe get busy designing a card for either a girl or boy graduate, and within a few days the group leader called to request a class with grad cards!!!  So here's one of the cards that I designed using the Grad Girl 2012 image from Saturated Canary.

After painting the image I fussy cut her out, which meant that the tassel had to go, so what better way to replace it, then to make an actual tassel.  She is popped up on the card front in front of a Cheery Lynn die, and designer paper from Moxie, and Karen Foster Designs.  The pearls were made with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen, and the sentiment is from The Places You'll Go set from Taylored Expressions.
I'll show you the grad boy card in a few days!!

Wedding Days

Okay, the procrastinator in me has really been working overtime this past year!!! My youngest niece was married last June, and as part of her wedding gift I told her that I would do a scrapbook album featuring the big event - fast forward to May of 2013, and I have finally completed not one but a total of three albums - just in time for their first anniversary!!
Since the theme this month at One Crazy Stamper is black and white plus one other color, I've chosen to show you just a few of the pages from the albums.

Fly on Wings

Lately I have been using the Distress Inks for coloring more of my images, and this card has got to be one of my new favorites.  Painting with the distress inks has such a beautiful softness to it, and this gorgeous image from A Day for Daisies suits the technique perfectly!!

The image is called Pearls in My Hair, the stunning designer paper is from Authentique's Summer collection, and the sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie's Peter Pan set.

Lady Bug Dreams

Wow, April 1st already - Happy April Fool's Day Everyone!!!
Since it's a new month that means it's time to announce the next challenge theme for One Crazy Stamper, and if my card doesn't give you a great hint, then I guess I have to tell you that the theme is Black and White with one other color.

I stamped one of the adorable images from Saturated Canary called "Little Lady Bug" with a Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad on Copic Xpress It cardstock.  The Copic sketch markers that I colored her with are as follows:
Reds - R29, R39. R59
Skin - E0000, E000, E00
Hair - W6, W8, W10
Dress - T6, T8, T10
Eyes - G40, 43
I then used Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol to add more depth to the image.  The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley, and the ribbon is from the local big box craft store.
Please check out the rest of the design teams wonderful projects here at One Crazy Stamper, then participate in the challenge to win a fabulous prize.
