Pink Dandylion

Wow, who turned the page to a new month - it's June already, it seems like I just put the Christmas decorations away!  Hard to believe but it's time for the new monthly challenge theme at One Crazy Stamper, and this time it's a SKETCH designed by one of our own, Cindy!!  Here's the sketch.....

and this is my card featuring Kraftin' Kimmie Dandy Lion.

The image was stamped on Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento ink, colored with Copics, highlighted with Stickles Cotton Candy, and matted with grey cardstock.  The edge of the mat was covered with Glitter Ritz Micro Fine Cool Highlight, then the entire image was popped up on dp from Glitz Pretty in Pink paper pack.  I fussy cut the sentiment from an identical sheet of the dp and popped it up for added dimension.  For the flower I cut the Italian Flourish Doily from Cheery Lynn Dies, sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, and while it was still damp scrunched it.  The center of the flower is a piece of seam binding inked with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, and also scrunched, and highlighted with the Cool Highlight glitter.  Leaves for the flower were cut with a Martha Stewart punch, the corners are from the Whimsy Stamps Shapeology Dies Corner set, and edges were inked with Victorian Velvet.

Japanese Sweetheart

Vintage/Shabby Chic is the theme for this weeks challenge at The Paper Shelter!!!  For the challenge I colored the image "Japanese Cute Doll" with Copics, fussy cut her and popped her up on the matching digital paper that is part of the image purchase.  If you haven't checked out the gorgeous digital papers available at The Paper Shelter, pop on over and see the papers available with images, and the packs of themed paper.  The ribbon and coin are from my stash, and the sentiment is from a My Favorite Things set.
The very talented and generous Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter are offering a fabulous prize of $20 to spend on whatever your like in their online store, if you use one of their gorgeous images in the challenge this week. If you do not use one of their images, you can still enter the challenge to win 3 of their images of your own choice.

Light of Hope

It's Terrific Tuesday again for One Crazy Stamper, and today I am featuring a brand new Whimsy Stamp from artist Sylvia Zet called "Hopeful".

The image was stamped on Copic Xpress It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored with Copics.  I used Clearsnap Smooch Illuminate paint on the lantern to make it shine, and of course you can't see it, but it's there!  The image was then layered on four different papers from an older My Mind's Eye 6 x 6 paper collection Lime Twist - Happy Go Lucky.  The layers were distressed with the We R Memory Keepers Heart Attack Distressing/Sanding tool, and then inked with Tsukineko Memento Dew Drops - Danube Blue and Lilac Posies.  The flowers are a mix of companies, butterfly is an older Prima embellishment, and the die is from Cheery Lynn.
Wishing you a sunny day today!

Things With Wings Challenge

It's time for my turn to showcase one of Crissy Armstrong's delightful images at her challenge blog Sundays With Crissy.

This is "Wings of Hope" from Whimsy Stamps.  I have stamped the image on watercolor paper and then colored it with Distress Inks.  Although you can't see it in this photo I used Twinkling H2O's on the wings, mane, tail, and pole to add glimmer and shine.  The background paper was made by inking Impression Obsession's Fluff stamp with distress inks.  The corner flourish is from Memory Box, the sentiment is Whimsy Stamps Ticket Notes, and the ribbon is from my stash.
Check out the rest of the design teams wonderful creations this month here, and then enter to win the challenge.

Vintage/Shabby Chic Party Time

This is my second post for today, so if you are looking for my One Crazy Stamper post please scroll down.

The Paper Shelter is sponsoring Party Time Tuesday's Challenge today, and they asked if some of the TPS design team members could submit a card for inspiration.  The challenge theme is Vintage/Shabby Chic and this is the card I've designed using the image "Beautiful Mermaid".  The image is colored with Copics and mounted on K and Company's Julianne collection paper.  The dies are from Spellbinders, sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie, and the pearl trim is from my stash.
Visit Party Time Tuesday's Challenge blog here, and join the fun!!

There's a "NAP" for That!!

I LOVE Art Impressions images and the newest release has not disappointed!!!
So for this weeks One Crazy Stamper project, I have used an AI People image "Power Napper Set".

As usual I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic Xpress It cardstock and colored it with Copics.  No fussy cutting this time, unless you count her feet sticking out of the frame!!  Spellbinders Label Two was used to cut the image out, as well as to frame it.  I stamped the included sentiment repeatedly on to the dp from My Mind's Eye Fiddlesticks collection, with Versafine Onyx Black ink - the repeating seems to reflect the sentiment - stress, chaos and mayhem.  The card is a gate fold with black sheer ribbon tying it closed, and Viva Decor pearls accenting it.

Ya Seadog!!!

Happy Holiday Monday to all my fellow Canadians who are celebrating Victoria Day!!
I spent most of the weekend just taking life easy, except for getting the kitchen walls painted - one more thing checked off the list for getting the house ready to sell.  I also spent some time surfing the web, and found a couple of new digital stamp sites, one of which I am showing today!!  This is Little Sailor Boy from The Doodle Garden, a wonderful etsy site featuring digital works of extreme cuteness from Jennifer Nilsson!!  You can check out her site here.
I printed the image on Copic Xpress It cardstock with my Epson printer, then colored it with Copics.  The dp is from Authentique's Genuine collection, which I distressed and inked, stitches were done with a Zig Writer pen, sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie, and the buttons are from my stash.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday Monday, and check out Jennifer's etsy store to find more little cuties!!

It's team B's turn to showcase The Paper Shelter's beautiful images for the challenge this week of "Birthday card with Sentiment".  I have used the wonderful "A. News, News, News!!!

Good morning everyone!!  I have some wonderful news to share with you today!
A few weeks ago I found a new digital stamp artist through The Outlawz, and featured a card with one of her adorable images here.  The wonderful artist May Green recently announced her search for the first design team for Mayzy Art stamps, and I was lucky enough to be chosen to join the group!!!
The formal announcement was made today on the Mayzy Art blog, so here's a close up of my introduction card.

I colored the Break Dance digital stamp with Copics, fussy cut the image, and popped it up on a background I created by heat embossing an Whimsy image and coloring some of the elements.
Hop on over to the blog and check out the rest of the teams beautiful cards, and stay tuned for the first challenge on May 19th.
