A New Year Celebration

It's a New Year, and this year I am excited to announce that I am rejoining the awesome design team at One Crazy Stamper!!  I am looking forward to showing you all some of the wonderful images that the design team works with by the wonderful all Canadian owned High Hopes Stamps!  There's a brand new challenge  called "Anything Goes -- but with a twist -- add purple or blue and a ribbon or button".

I have used the adorable image "Buggy Stack".  The image is colored with Copics, with touches of white Sakura Glaze pen on the noses.  After coloring I fussy cut the image and layered it on Bo Bunny double dot paper, and an older paper from my stash.  A computer generated sentiment and big purple bow finish the card front.

Copics - R17, R29, R39, T7, 100, V12, V15, V17, B0000, B00, B02, E33, E35, E37

Happy New Year's Eve

2017 to is coming to an end and tomorrow I have a big announcement to make on my blog, so check back in the morning!  Today I am sharing a new card featuring the Stamping Bella Stuffies - the walrus, the polar bear and the penguin.

The image was colored with Copics and then I added some touches of Prismacolor pencil to add texture and depth.  The card front is made with older Echo Park paper, and I added black stitching lines to the entire card front for definition.

Days be Merry and Bright

I adore penguin images and this sweet little stack of them couldn't possibly get any cuter!  This is "Penguin Stackers" from Art Impressions available here.  I have colored the image with Copics and then added Prismacolor pencils to make highlights and shadows.  A touch of Wink of Stella gold on the star, and white fun flock add some glitter and dimension to the card.

Hang On Christmas is Coming

Wow time really flies when you are babysitting the grand kids!!   This is another older card I designed a couple of years ago!  The image "Floating By" is from Whipper Snapper Stamps and is available here to purchase.  I colored the image with Copics then fussy cut it before adhering to the card front made from Bo Bunny paper.  The snowflake die is from Memory Box.

Warm and Fuzzy!!!

Stamping Bella has to be one of my all time favorite companies, and I just can't wait to color up their images.  Since this image features penguins ( another love of mine ) I just had to add it to my collection. This is Warm and Fuzzy Penguins, and you can purchase it here.

The image was colored with Copics and then snow was created with Stampendous Frantage Shabby White Embossing Enamel.  The snowflake banner die is from La La Land.

Beautiful Holiday Season

Wow here's another older card that I just loved making.  The image is from Sugar Nellie, and I colored her with Copic markers, then cut the image out with a Spellbinder die.  I made an oval easel card and added a Memory Box die, white Flower soft, Stampendous Frantage Embossing enamel, and touches of Wink of Stella clear and silver to the card front to complete the look.

Who Let the Christmas Dogs Out?

I recently purchased this adorable set of dog images from Art Impressions stamps, and I just had to play with them immediately.

Each image is colored with Copics, then fussy cut and placed on the backgrounds that I created with distress inks.  The addition of Stampendous Frantage Embossing Enamel helps create the look of falling snow on several of the cards.

Happy Holidays Penguin

Here's another card I colored up last year and just never had the time to post.  This is an adorable image from Whipper Snapper stamps called "Piccolo Penguin" that you can purchase here.  I colored the image with Copic markers and add A Spoonful of Snow from Stampendous for the glittery snow effect.  The sentiment die is from Impressions Obsessions and the candy cane border die is a Memory box item.

Wishing you a Penguin Birthday

I have an absolute love of penguins, and I adore all of Crissy Armstrong's images, so when the two are combined, you know I have to color it!  This adorable little penguin is from Whimsy Stamps and is called Penguin Birthday and can be purchased here.  I have colored the image with Copic markers which match the papers perfectly, and added some Viva Decor pearls as embellishments.

Long time posting!

Time for me to get back to blogging my card creations.  I have been absent for a long time while I made some changes in my life.  Most importantly I decided to move to beautiful British Columbia over a year ago, and after selling my home in Alberta this past summer, I have finally settled into a temporary home in Beasley, while my new home is being built in Krestova valley.

My craft stash is mostly packed away, but I did keep a few things so that I could still make cards to share, and it's now time to do that.  Some of the cards I will feature have been made in the last year, while others will be new creations.

This card features an adorable image from High Hopes stamps that is entitled "Canadian Christmas Greetings" and is available here.  I have colored the image with Copic markers and then added Prismacolor pencil to get more depth and highlights.  I choose to not put a sentiment on the card, as the ribbon has several greetings on it.

I am entering this card into the following challenge -

Guest Designer Special Request

I recently had a special request from a friend that was on a previous design team that we both belonged to, to participate in their wonderful blog as a guest designer.  I hadn't posted in a long time, but this was just the push I needed to get back into something I love, so here it is.

Karen Day from Inspired by All the Little Things asked me to post something that I was inspired to make from the following photo -

For me tulips mean spring has arrived, and along with tulips the daffodils also pop up there lovely heads to welcome the new season.  Stamping Bella has a wonderful new image that was released recently entitled "Tiny Townie Garden Girl Daffodil" that I just had to color.

I colored the image with Copic sketch markers, and then cut it out with a Spellbinder die.  The edges on the die cut were inked with Tattered Rose Distress Ink and then the points were highlighted with yellow stickle glue.  The background paper is a beautiful print from Blue Fern Studios that I tore the edges of, and then inked the edges with the same Tattered Rose ink pad.  The lace, that features butterflies was purchased from a local fabric store, cream seam binding, and flowers from Wild Orchid Flowers finish off the card front.  The sentiment is an oldie from Whimsy Stamps.

Tie the Knot

Wow , it's been a long time since I posted anything, but the time has come to become more active on this blog.  I have been a busy lady the past two years - I went back to school at the ripe old age of 54 to become a Medical Office Assistant, and became a grandmother to two wonderful little boys.  I am also teaching Copic coloring classes at a local scrapbook store!  All of this has made me a very, very busy lady!

The first card that I am showcasing is this pretty wedding card that was a special order quite a while ago.  It features a beautiful couple from Make It Crafty that I paired with a Memory Box die as the background.  Hope you like it!

I'm looking forward to showing you some of my creations from the last two years, plus new cards that I am now designing.

Have a great day everyone!!
