By My Side

I seem to have a real lack of boys cards in my stock, and I am also on a quest to start using some of my stamps that have never seen the light of day, so the card today features one of my favorite images from Lili of the Valley.

Man's Best Friend has been colored with Copic markers, then matted and mounted on the card front featuring paper from My Mind's Eye.  Some jute ribbon, pearls created with a Viva Decor Pearl pen, and the perfect sentiment finish off the card.

Wishing everyone a great weekend!

A Great Big Thank You

I have recently started fostering dogs with a local animal rescue, and wanted to design a few cards with a puppy theme to help raise funds for the rescue, so when I received this new image, I went straight to work coloring it up.

The image is Daisy and Basset, from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps and is available to purchase at One Crazy Stamper here.  I colored the image with Copics, then fussy cut it out, and layered on a doily die from Cheery Lynn.  The dp is from Authentique's Sweetness collection and the sentiment is from my stash.

Card Recipe

Dress trim and socks - BG10, BG11, BG15

Jolly Old St Nick?????!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas, oops, I mean Happy Easter to You!!  Yes, it is once again snowing here in sunny Alberta!!!  A heavy snowfall warning was issued a couple of hours ago, and the white stuff just keeps on falling, so for today's card I am getting in the holiday spirit by showcasing a Christmas card!

HO HO HO Everyone!!!!

This adorable image is from Sugar Nellie, and was colored with Copics, then fussy cut and mounted on dp from Simple Stories.  The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley, snowflakes are punches from a couple of companies, and the doily behind Santa and friends is a Cheery Lynn die.  Santa's fur trim received a layer of white flocking powder to add that hint of softness.

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter!!!

Playdate Anyone?

Time for a change to a clean and simple card design today!  The image today is from Whimsy Stamps artist Sandy Allnock and is entitled Tai & Lisa.

Once again, I have colored up two versions with my Copics and simply mounted them each on a bit of scrap dp paper, and then a white card base.  Today's weather is suppose to bright warm and sunny, so it would be a great playdate day!!
Have a great day!!!

Little Bo Peep

We received a light dusting of snow last night, so Spring has still not arrived here - sigh!!!  So today's card features a nice bright sunny card.  This is one of the newest releases from Wee Stamps that I just fell in love with.

Both versions of the cards were colored with Copics and mounted on paper from First Edition papers.  Prima flowers and machine stitching around the card add depth.
Hope your weather is better than what we are experiencing - have a wonderful day!!!

My first card this month uses a beautiful image from Wild Rose Studios called Teddy With Present, that I have colored with Copics.  To give the bear some texture I used the dirty rag technique, then added sparkle with Stardust Stickles to the center of the flowers, and glitter to the ribbon with a Sakura Stardust pen.

Big Flowers - E55, E57, E59
Small Flowers & Ribbon - E74, E79
