Silver Wishes

Welcome to the last day of the old year and the eve of a brand new year!!

This past week has been busy, and I have not had a lot of play time in my craft room, but I do have one last card to share with you this year!!

This is the exquisite "Silver Fairy" image from Whimsy Stamps artist Sylvia Zet of Wee Stamps.  The image is colored with Copics, fussy cut and mounted on paper from Echo Park's Winter Wishes collection.  The edges of the dp are embossed with a white glitter powder, while the background is enhanced with both a Memory box and an exclusive Simon Says die, cut from metallic silver foil.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps, and the wings are covered with the cool highlight glitter from Glitter Ritz.

Attitude Anyone?

I am trying to STOP making Christmas themed cards, and having a really hard time not reaching for those adorable holiday stamps, so I thought I'd have a go at something different.  How about a sweet little girl with a lot of attitude!!

For the mom's out there, I am sure that this image sparks many memories of our own daughters giving us the attitude!!!  This is "Talk to the Bear" by Mo Manning for Stamping Bella, colored with Copics, then matted and mounted on dp from the Love Letters collection by Bo Bunny.

The dp is from Little Yellow Bicycle's Winterings collection, that has so many gorgeous papers in it, that you are sure to be seeing it pop up a couple more times in my cards.  Winona Loves Winter is from Stamping Bella and I have colored her with Copic Sketch Markers.  The die embellishments are the new Snowflake Border from Whimsy Stamps, and two exclusive dies from Simon Says Stamps - The Faceted Snowflake and the Curvy Snowflake which are made by Memory Box.

Third Post Today!!!

Three posts in one day - it's a record for me, but I have one more card to show everyone, and this one is for the Creative Craft Challenges.  The challenge theme is untraditional Christmas colors, so no red or green.  We have a fab sponsor this time - Robyn's Fetish, who provided images for the design team to work with.  Here's my card....

You have three weeks to enter the challenge as the design team is taking a break over the Christmas holidays, and will return in Janurary.

Clean and Simple Sketch Card

This is my second post for today, so if you are looking for my post as a guest designer at Loves Rubberstamps, please scroll down to the previous post.

Terrific Tuesday time is here again, and for today's card for One Crazy Stamper, I have again combined the challenge sketch and the "Holiday" theme to create my card!!!

If I haven't mentioned it before, I absolutely love the adorable Lulu images from Kraftin' Kimmie, and this little sweetheart is from the Holiday Lulu and Libby stamp set!  I have colored her with Copics, then mounted her on paper from the Carta Bella Winter Fun collection.  The sentiment is also from the Carta Bella collection, while the twine and snowflake brads are from my stash.  The edges of the papers were all inked with Rangers Antique Linen distress ink.

A Merry Christmas from Loves Rubberstamps

It's only a week until the big day arrives, and today Loves Rubberstamps is celebrating with a new challenge of Merry Christmas.  I have had this sweet image from Saturated Canary for only a couple of weeks now, and knew that this would be the perfect image to use for this challenge.

This is "Candy Canes" colored with Copics, then cut with the smallest die from Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals One set.  The dp is from Authentique's Festive collection, with all the edges torn and then inked with Hint of Pesto Versa Magic ink.  The burlap trim is from my stash, flourish die is Cherry Lynn, flowers are white lily's from Wild Orchid crafts, and the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.  Small pearls are added as extra shimmer with the use of a Viva Decor red pearl pen.

Check out the rest of the design team and guest designers wonderful projects for this week's "Merry Christmas" challenge theme, and leave them all some love at Loves Rubberstamps challenge blog, and then check out the wonderful product that they carry at the online store here.

Christmas is about Sharing

Christmas is the time of year to remember your family, friends, and all of the other people in your life that bring special moments to your life, and this sweet image from Nellie Snellen demonstrates the sharing of gifts.

This is "Dawn Sharing a Biscuit" colored with Copics, then matted and mounted on dp from last year's Bo Bunny Father Christmas collection.  Faux stitiching, cookie cutter buttons from Jesse James, and a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps complete the card.

Nellie Snellen Holiday Wish

Here's a card for a special someone to celebrate the holiday season.

This Copic colored image is Nellie Snellen's "Like My Star".  I have cut two of the largest dies from Spellbinders Moroccan Motifs to create the layered design behind the image.  The sentiment, and the snowflake border around it are both from Whimsy Stamps, and the lace is from my stash.  The dp is from last year's Bo Bunny Snowfall collection, and all of the edges of the card were inked with Gathered Twigs distress ink.

Twas the Night Before Christmas....

Star gazing with a good friend is a wonderful way to spend an evening, and these two cuties from Whimsy Stamps artist Crissy Armstrong are definitely enjoying themselves!  The image was colored with Copics and then the night sky was airbrushed with B28.   Polar white flower soft covers the ground to lend a softness to the card.  The dp is from Bo Bunny's powder Mountain collection, the snowflake border is from Martha Stewart, the lace and ribbon are from my stash, and the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

Winter with Kenny K!!!

This is my second post for today, so if you are looking for my post for One Crazy Stamper, please scroll down to the last post.

Time for my next card as one of the guest designers at Loves Rubberstamps!!!  This time the theme is to create a Winter scene, and the sponsor is Kenny K!

I decided to work with this wonderful image from Kenny K entitled "Helga Frost".  After coloring her with Copics and fussy cutting the image, I placed her on to an ice cube I created.  The side step card features an icicle and penguin border punch from Martha Stewart, as well as an EK Success tree border punch, that were all sprayed with Vanilla Smooch to add glimmer.  Behind the image is two Spellbinder die cut snowflakes that also received a coat of glimmer.  The sentiment is from my stash, and adds a touch of tongue in cheek greeting to a cool winter scene.

Look Ma, No Stamps!!!

That's right today's card does not include one single stamp, not even the sentiment, and not a drop of Copic coloring!!!
For today's post for One Crazy Stamper I've used just paper, dies, charms and a computer generated sentiment!!

Using this month's challenge sketch and the "Holiday"theme, I've used a couple of dp's from the new Bo Bunny Powder Mountain collection to form the card base.  Charms that were purchased from the local big box craft store, and Maya Road twine are mounted on the left side of the card, while the gorgeous tree on the right was cut using Dee's Distinctively Christmas Tree #1 die.  The die was coated with Diamond Dust to add a glow!!
Don't forget that this month's challenge at One Crazy Stamper has two different themes for you to participate in - either follow the sketch OR make a "Holiday" theme.  There's still lots of time to enter to win a fabulous stamp prize package!!!

In the Meadow......

.....we will build a snowman!  Today's card features a Lili of the Valley image called "Build a Snowman" colored with Copics, and matted on dp from Bo Bunny's Father Christmas collection.

The sentiment is from Whimsy stamps, dies are from Marianne Designs.

I'm doing the It's Done Happy Dance!!!

It's finally completed - the last page for the 2013 calendar project is done!!!!  For some reason, I hit a complete crafter's block when it came time to finish this last page, and changed the paper and the images several times!!!!  But it's done!!!

To celebrate the changing of the season that happens in September, I picked two images from the delightful drawings of  Mo Manning - Kai and Fall.  Both images are colored with Copics, fussy cut and popped up on the dp which is an oldie from Chatterbox.  Prima leaves that have been enhanced with inks add that special feeling of leaves turning color.

Jolly Old St Nick

Time is flying by, and soon the jolly old man himself will be visiting all of the good boys and girls on his list - are you on the naughty or nice list?!!!  My card today features an old fashioned Santa image from Stamps Happen, that I colored with Copics then cut and matted with Spellbinders Label 3.  The dp for the card front is from Kaisercraft's Turtle Dove collection, the die is Marianne Creatibles Designs Mistletoe Twigs, sentiment is from Lili of the Valley, button, twine, ribbon, and the bell are all from my stash.

Christmas Memories

I love the image on this card as it reminds me of my two children many, many, years ago.  Although we didn't have a fireplace mantel to hang stockings from, my daughter would always be there to help her younger brother with all of the Christmas decorating, and their faithful sidekick, Blueberry, would always be by their side.

This is "Joy Filled Christmas" from Penny Black stamps, and the creative talents of Mo Manning.  I have colored the image with Copics, then fussy cut and mounted it on Spellbinders Label 15 mats.  The dp is from Authentique's Festive collection and the ribbon is from my stash.

Happy 2nd Birthday to The Paper Shelter!!!

Good Morning fellow crafter's and welcome to The Paper Shelter Blog Hop!!!
Our hop is a very exciting one for all of us at it is in celebration of our 2nd Birthday!!!!

If you have landed here from Debs blog, then you're heading in the right direction - if not then you'll want to head on back to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog to start again, as you'll not want to miss out on this one!  Our Design Teams have worked very hard, and are showcasing the gorgeous images available from The Paper Shelter website, and each blog on the hop is offering one lucky commenter a digi of their choice.  There is also a grand prize, details of which are on The Paper Shelter Challenge blog.

The theme for this blog hop is Two of Anything, so I decided to play with the image "Happy New Year",  and one of the reasons I love digital stamps, is that it's so easy to flip and rotate images to create one of a kind card fronts!!!  I colored the image with Copics to make it look like the original image is placed on a sheet of ice - I'm hoping that this worked.  Glitter pens add some shimmer and shine to the finished card.

From here, you will need to hop on over to Angelique's blog.  Don't forget to leave your comment for a chance of winning your choice of one of the fab digis available in store.

Hop! Hop! Hop!
Good luck and hope you're enjoying it so far.

Loves Rubberstamps Guest Designer

Welcome to my first card as one of the guest designers at Loves Rubberstamps!!!  How exciting to be chosen as one of the lucky people to showcase some of the wonderful products available at their online store here.

I have colored the image "Christmas Elf Marci" from La La Land Crafts with my Copic Sketch Markers, then after fussy cutting the image I've popped her up on paper from Authentique's Festive collection.  Star Dust Stickles and red pearls made with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen add glimmer and shine to the card front, the pearls on her skirt, and the hearts on the sentiment.  The holly vine was cut from felt with a Memory Box die, and also embellish the inside of the easel card which was cut with Spellbinders Grand Scallop circles.

Hop on over to the Loves Rubberstamps blog and check out all of the wonderful projects that the rest of the design team and guest designers have created to inspire you!!

Snowbuddy Like You

Back to making cards again - I took a couple of days off from coloring and spent my time completing two scrapbook albums for a friend who had ordered them awhile back.  Just have a few embellishments to add to the albums and they will be on their way.  While I scrapbooked, a couple of ladies kept me company, coloring and making cards, and here's one of the newest that they completed!!!

This is a new addition to the Wild Rose Studio collection of adorable images, entitled Snowman Hugs.  I have colored it with Copics, then cut and matted it with Spellbinders Label 1, and popped it up on My Mind's Eye paper.  The snowflake and lace trim are from my stash.

OCS December Challenge

Wow, someone turned the page and now the last month of 2012 is here!!!  Where, oh where did the year go!!!!  Since it is the first of the month that means that it's time to announce the new challenge theme at One Crazy Stamper.  This month design team member Sue has given us all a wonderful sketch to work with, and here it is...

....OR.....
if you don't want to work with the sketch you can choose to create a card with a "Holiday" theme!!!

 Here's my card......

I decided to turn the sketch on it's side to make my card, and to make something with a holiday theme, combining both themes!!!  The dp is from Authentique's  Peaceful collection, and the image is Nellie Snellen's Robin.  The bird is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic Xpress It cardstock, colored with Copics, then fussy cut and popped up on the Memory Box Holly Vine die, cut from black cardstock.  Snowflakes that are included with the bird image were randomly stamped on more dp from the same collection to form the bottom section of the card.  Black satin ribbon and black faux stitches complete my card.
