Rain, rain go away!!

It's a bright beautiful day here today, but the forecast is for rain starting Sunday so I just had to color up these cute images from My Favorite Things!

The first card features one of the new release images from the set Rain or Shine, and a sentiment from Puddle Jumper.  I colored the image with Copics and Prismacolor pencils, and then added Judikin Diamond Glaze to the boots and rain coat.  The card design is based on the Wednesday sketch challenge #382 at My Favorite Things.

This second card is also from the newest release at My Favorite Things featuring the boy image from Puddle Jumper, ducks from the Rain or Shine stamp set, and a sentiment from the Anything but Basic Birthday Wishes set.

I am entering the first card into the MFT challenge -

Change the World

It's time for another post for One Crazy Stamper and today I am featuring one more of the new High Hopes release images - this sweet image is Butterfly Fairy!

I have stamped her with Cement Grey ink from My Favorite Things so that I could do no line coloring technique.  The paper is Copic Xpress It cardstock.  The image was colored with Copic sketch markers and Prismacolor pencils, and then fussy cut and adhered with pop up dots to the card front.  To make the card front I used paper and a die from My Favorite Things.

Card Recipe
Prismacolor pencils - 942 Yellow Ochre, 1092 Nectar, 928 Blush Pink, 933 Violet Blue, 1019 Rosy Beige, 938 White

Vikings are Brave

It is a another beautiful day here in the Kootenays, and I find myself working at my coloring desk putting last minute finishes on several card kits that I will be teaching next week in Calgary, Alberta.  Although this is not one of the cards I'm teaching I still wanted to share this card with you all.

This is Viking by artist Birdie Brown for My Favorite Things.  I fell in love with this image as soon as the company previewed it, and it just kind of fell into my shopping card the minute it was available to order.  The image was stamped onto Copic Xpress it cardstock with Cement Grey ink from My Favorite Things so that I could experiment with no line coloring.  After coloring the image with Copics I added Prismacolor pencil coloring to the shadows and highlights, and also used the pencils to add texture to the viking.  All of the patterned paper is from Doodlebug, as well as the dragon paper clip.  Hope you like him!

Springtime Wishes

Spring has finally arrived here in the Kootenay's - we even had the first big thunder storm of the year yesterday!  What better way to celebrate the season then to create a card with flowers and a butterfly!

This gorgeous image is Violet from the Tiny Townie collection by Stamping Bella.  I stamped the image onto Copic Xpress It cardstock, and then colored it with Copics and Prismacolor pencils.  After fussy cutting the image, I adhered it to the card front that has Bo Bunny patterned paper, lace from a Calgary fabric store, a beautiful lace butterfly that a friend gifted me, and flowers from Wild Orchid crafts.  The card is a twisted easel style to add more dimension to the entire project.

Baby Greetings

It seems this year is the year for everyone to be having little additions to their families, including myself who is awaiting the arrival of another grand-baby!  What better way to say welcome to the world than with an adorable baby card!!

These sweet images are all part of Avery Elle's  Special Delivery stamp set.  I have colored the images with Copic markers, then fussy cut them all out and placed them all the card front.

Happy Gnome Day

You gotta love Gnomes on bad days and good and as the sentiment says " Keep calm Gnome Matter what".  Love, love, love all of the new gnome images from Stamping Bella and this one is definitely a favorite!!!

The image was colored with Copic sketch markers, and then placed between two borders that feature a My Favorite Things scallop die edge.  A nice clean and simple card design.

Twinkle a Little Fairy Dust

It's a cool drizzly day here in the Kootenay's so to brighten up the day I have created an adorable card with the colors of spring!

This sweet image is "Twinkle Fairy" from High Hopes rubber stamps, and can be purchased here at One Crazy Stamper.  I stamped the image on Copic Xpress It cardstock with My Favorite Things Cement Grey hybrid ink, then colored it with Copic markers, adding just a touch of Prismacolor pencils to deepen shadows and add highlights.  After fussy cutting the image and placing it on the card front, I created dots of sparkle and covered the wings with Ranger Frosted Lace Stickles.  The sentiment is also available at One Crazy Stamper, and is also part of the new release "A Magical Day".

Card Recipe
Copics - E01, E11, BV00, B60, B63, B66, RV000, RV10, RV02, G40, G43, G46, Y32, YR31, YR21, RV11, E33, RV34, R20
Prismacolor pencils - 928 Blush Pink, 942 Yellow Ochre, 1092 Nectar

Butterfly Memories

When I first saw the Butterfly images from Stamping Bella I just knew that they would be jumping into my shopping card - and I finally got them to play with.  This first card features Tiny Townie Butterfly Girl Babette who is actually my favorite of them all!

My vision for this card from the moment I saw the image was to make a sympathy card with this gorgeous girl.  The sentiment I chose to use could be used for sympathy, or words of encouragement, and is part of a set of sentiment from Stamping Bella available here.  I stamped the image on Copic Xpress It cardstock and then colored it with Copics and Prismacolor pencils.  The wings were covered with a coat of Wink of Stella clear, and there are tiny dots of Nuvo Crystal drops and Ranger Frosted Lace on some of the dots on the wings and flower centers.  Once the image was fussy cut, I adhered it to the card front that features Graphic 45 paper.  A touch of black ribbon and a small twinkle goosebump finishes off the card.

April Perpetual Calendar

April arrived a few days ago so it's time to show you the page that I painted with Distress ink reinkers and a waterbrush.  This beautiful image is from Crafts and Me and is drawn by Sara Burrier.  There are touches of Wink of Stella clear glitter on the wings.  Only eight more months to show you all.

Dragon Imagination

Welcome to another Wednesday and my card for One Crazy Stamper.  The design team divas are showcasing the wonderful new release "A Magical Day" from High Hopes Stamps, and when I first saw these cute dragons I just couldn't wait to color them!!

This is "Dragon Pals" have I stamped with Cement Grey Memento Ink on to Copic Xpress it cardstock and then colored with Copics.  The dots on the large dragon were done with a green gel pen, and I used a clear Wink of Stella brush on the wings of all three characters.  The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps and is available here.  I inked the sky with Tumbled Glass distress ink, the hills were done with Bundled Sage, and the castle was inked with Hickory Smoke distress ink.  The stencils were from My Favorite Things and Tim Holtz ( the stone work on the castle ), and the castle is a die from My Favorite Things.
