A New Chapter Begins

Good morning from snowy British Columbia, Canada, and welcome back to my blog!!!  Yes we still have lots of snow here, it has been the snowiest year in recent history - 374 cm of snow fell on the Kootenay Pass in January alone!!!  It will take awhile for it all to melt!

I have exciting news to share!!  I am joining the KLM Designs Emporium Design Team in April and am so thrilled to be part of their team.  I found there digital images just a short time ago, and just had to color up one of the adorable gnomes - and this card is what started it all!!!

Isn't he just the cutest thing!  This is Handyman Gnome that is printed on Copic Xpress It cardstock and colored with Copics, with just a hint of white Prismacolor pencil for the highlights.  The awesome sentiment is from an older Technique Tuesday set, and the Tools Frame die is from Find It.

I can't wait to showcase more of KLM's wonderful images, so stayed tuned!

Our Love is Written in the Stars

Good morning everyone!  It's been awhile since I last posted, and today is an extra special day - I am the guest designer at SheepSki Designs Digital Stamps on Facebook.  This is for challenge #42 Anything Goes with a optional twist of "I Love.....".  Anyone you knows me knows I adore penguin images, so how could I not color up the adorable "Cool Couple" which can be purchased here.

I printed the image onto Copic Xpress It cardstock, and then colored it with Copic markers and Prismacolor Pencils.  After the coloring was done I fussy cut the image.  For the background I used the following Ranger Distress Oxides to blend the perfect sky - Spun Sugar, Pickled Raspberry, and Festive Berries.  The constellations in the sky, which are embossed in white,  and the sentiment are from the Lawn Fawn stamp set - Upon a Star.

Overflowing Wishes

A card with a twist today.  The image is meant to represent a cup of coffee with a gnome in it, but I made his hat into a Santa hat by adding Polar White Flower Soft to the brim and added a pompom, as well as adding red berries to the mug design.  Double duty for this stamp!!!  The image is colored with Copics, and I finished off the card with a sentiment from Stampendous.

Llama tell you.....

Who doesn't think that llama's are adorable?!!!  I love all of the new images that feature these adorable animals, and I just had to color one up.

The image is Oddball Llama from Stamping Bella, and the sentiment is from Gerda Steiner Designs.  This was a nice simple card to color - just seven colors of Copics and a touch of white Prismacolor pencil on the fur.  Simple but so darn cute!!

Baby Fairy Wishes

What could be cuter than a little fairy holding a ladybug!  This adorable image is from Mo;s Digital Pencil and is part of a set of three baby fairies.  I have colored the image with Copic markers,  highlighted the details of the wings with a silver gel pen, and then added clear Wink of Stella to the wings.  A older sentiment from Whimsy Stamps, and a few green Viva Decor pearls finish the card front.

Animal Antics

It's been a long time since I have posted anything on this blog, and hopefully I will be able to post more often now.  I just had to share the adorable My Favorite Things BB Picture Perfect images that I colored up with my Copic sketch markers.

I have followed this week's sketch challenge #443 for MFT Wednesday Sketch and combined it with one of the images from the stamp set.  I also used a retired MFT star die, and the Polariod Shaker Frame die from MFT.
