Sunday's With Crissy - Beat the Mid-Winter Blues

If you are looking for my One Crazy Stamper post for today, please scroll down to the next post.

Welcome to my card for this month's theme at Sundays with Crissy, which is Beat the Mid-Winter Blues.  The theme has many different approaches - blue card, fun in winter card or maybe like me you want to make a card to remind you of warm weather.  The image is Swingin' Emmylou, an image Crissy created for Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.  I colored the image with Copics, fussy cut it out, added Flower Soft to add dimension, and adhered it to an acrylic card base that I embossed with a butterfly folder and my Cuttlebug.  Cherry Lynn dies were used to cut the decorative flourish and butterflies, and the sentiment if from Whimsy Stamps Spring Letter Seals set.  The dp is from Prima's Celebrate! Jack and Jill paper collection.  Pop over to Sundays with Crissy to check out the other lovely projects by the rest of the design team, and then get creative and enter to win this month's challenge.

  2. Shari, this is cute. I love the use of the Cheery Lynn die cut. Thanks for letting me know I had left my link to Sunday's with Crissy off my post. It was an oversight on my part, and is now fixed. I love your work. Hugs, dj1952

  5. HOW CUTE! love how you can see the shadows! Is this an image or a stamp? Remember to use a stamp for the LIIU challenge. I apologize for the reminder, if this truly is a stamp.....I've never seen it before, that's why I asked! In fact I think I need it now, after seeing your card! Thanks for playing along with us at LIIU!

    1. Hi Cor,
Yes this is indeed a rubber stamp - I purchased it some time ago from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - not sure if it is still available or not. Thanks for the reminder!
