Snowflake Beauty

It's time for Team Buddly to show off their projects for Cuddly Buddly's Let's Keep Creating Challenge, and our theme for the next fortnight is White on White.  For this challenge I get to work with a Karen Middleton digital image, so I chose "Christmas Ladies - Snowflake".

The image was colored with the four grey families of Copic Sketch markers, except for the eyes and lips which have a touch of color added to them.  Glitter was added to the snowflakes, and snowflake buttons from Jesse James were attached to both layers of the easel card.  The card was cut with Spellbinders Grand Labels 11, and the paper that the image was attached to was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, then trimed with diamond dust.  The sentiment from Waltzingmouse was embossed with silver, then covered with a holographic embossing powder.

Trick or Treat, Ain't She Sweet

Wow, time for the next Cuddly Buddly Let's Keep Creating Digi Challenge and the theme as chosen by Design Team member Celine is Baby/Kids.  My image is "Hattie" from Lilyboo Designs artist Sam Salt, which is colored with Copics.  With a clear glitter pen I outlined Hattie, and added bubbles and stars with Smooch Accent Inks.  The card background paper was created by running a sheet of Core-dinations paper through the Cuttlebug with an embossing folder, then sanding the paper to bring out the detail.  Ribbon and rhinestones were from my stash.

Friendship Quilt

It's time to play at Cuddly Buddly's Let's Keep Creating with Digis challenge, and this week it was my turn to pick the theme and I choose a recipe - 3 designer papers, 2 embellishments, and 1 ribbon.  The digital artist I got to work with for this challenge is Kim Sponaugle for Picture Kitchen Studio, and this adorable image is "Giggles & Wiggles" available here.  The image was colored with Copics, mounted on black cardstock and popped up on the card front.  I used three papers from Basic Grey's June Bug 6" x 6" paper pad - two of the papers were cut into the same shape that appears on the quilted background paper, mounted with black cardstock and layered onto the card front.  I wrapped a black ribbon around the center of the card and placed two buttons on the ribbon.  For the inside of the card I used the scraps remaining from the front of the card, and found a friendship quote that suited the theme.  Check out the other dt members cards on the blog and join in the fun!!

Kelley Kids Challenges - #7 For Someone Special

Vintage Birthday

Time for another Cuddly Buddly Let's Keep Creating Digi Challenge and the theme this time as chosen by Sharm is "Vintage, Distressing & Flowers".  For this challenge I got to work with Bits of Ivory digital images from artist Barbara Williams, so I choose Garden Glimpses 2 and Sentiments One

I printed out the sunflower image three times onto kraft cardstock and then colored them with Copics.  Each image then received a coat of Ranger's Distress Crackle Rock Candy Paint.  The base of the card was created with the following layers:
Card - brown cardstock
 Yellow cardstock
7 Gypsies Botanical paper - crumpled, torn, and inked
Kraft cardstock - crimped with an paper crimper and inked
Wide Cream ribbon and bow
The sentiments were also printed onto kraft cardstock, cut with decorative scissors and inked.  The three images were mounted onto the card with pop-up dots, and pearls were added to the top corner.
I am entering this card into the following:
Scrapbook Sisters - #50 Anything Goes

Snips and Snails

All of a sudden little boy cards have entered my life - maybe it's the blues as that is a favorite color of mine.  This little cutie is a Cuddly Buddly Digi Stamp entitled "Eliza and Bro It's Mister Wiggly" and is by Kim McFarlene, one of the creative artists at Cuddly Buddly.  Since it's Friday, that must mean that it's time for Challenge #6 at Let's Keep Creating! Digi Stamp challenge over at Cuddly Buddly, and this time the dt was asked to use Chris's choice of theme - Stitching!!!  I have used a combination of faux and real stitching on the card which of course was colored with Copics.  The adorable dp is from Kaiser Craft Jungle Bug Collection, and the sentiment is from an Autumn Leaves set entitled "Boy", that I stumbled onto in the clearance section of a local craft store just last week - love when things just seem to all fall together!
Challenges I am entering this card into:
Art Impressions Challenge - #27 One for the Boys
Craft Us Crazy - #14 Anything Goes
Delightful Sketches - Stitching Real or Faux
Dutch Dare Card Challenges - #124 For the Kids

Mr and Mrs

Time for another challenge at Cuddly Buddly Let's Keep Creating! Digi Challenge!!  This time Team Buddly design team member Wendy has chosen the theme of "Add a Charm".  For this challenge I got to work with the adorable digital images by Wee Stamps artist Sylvia Zet, just one of seven fabulous digital artists that Cuddly Buddly offers.  Cuddly Buddly is a massive on-line store that carries everything a crafter could need or want,  and the winner of the weekly challenges receives a gift certificate to spend in the store.  If you haven't already checked out Cuddly Buddly you should head right on over there!!

This is my card using Mr and Mrs Teddy Bear from Wee Stamps.  I colored the bears with Copics and then used Blender solution misted on to terry cloth to make the fur.  The front of the card has the arched window cut out from it, and mosaic tiles to frame the shape.  Mr and Mrs Teddy Bear were cut out and mounted on the inside of the card.  The ribbon and bow holds two charms - the word Together and a pewter heart from a PEI store that demos how it was made.  Both the design paper and the sentiment come from Kaiser Craft's Le Chateau collection.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Bee Crafty - #52 Wedding Wishes
4 Crafty Chicks - #47 Wedding
Crafty Sentiments - Happy Ever After

Have a great day everybody!!

New Challenge Blog!!

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the BIG DAY - the first challenge at Cuddly Buddly Let's Keep Creating Digi Challenges!!  See what Team Cuddly has designed for the first challenge and join in the fun!!!

Thursday, June 23, 2011

Today is the big day - the announcement of the final 3 Designers for Team Buddly at Cuddly Buddly, and I am so proud to be included amongst these fantastic ladies.  The new challenge blog starts on July 1st so check it out.
For my introduction project I choose the sweet digi image "Bunches in the Flowers" by Lilyboo Designs, just one of the seven digital artists that create for Cuddly Buddly.  I colored her with Copics, cut out the image and frames with Spellbinders Labels 15, and used Prima's designer paper as the background.  The flowers were punched out of shimmery vellum, layered and adhered to the card front.  The sentiment is from Whimsy stamps and the ribbon is from my stash.
