Doodle Gardens First Challenge

This is my second post for today, so if you are looking for my card for One Crazy Stamper, please scroll down to the last post.

It's finally here, the first ever Doodle Garden challenge!!!!
Welcome to everyone - check out my card, and the rest of the teams wonderful creations at Doodle Garden here.

Doodle Garden is the creation of Jennifer Nilsson, a wonderfully creative artist whose digital images caught my attention recently.  I was over the moon when she asked me to join her first ever design team, and jumped at the chance to show off her adorable digital images to you!!  For this first challenge the theme is Under the Sea.

The wonderful thing about digital images is that you can alter the size, flip the design and get stunning results.  For this card I have used "Little Seahorse" and Seashell Trio, available at Doodle Garden's etsy store.  I resized, flipped and copied the images several times and printed them all out on my Epson printer.  The images are all colored with Copics, fussy cut and then adhered to a sheet of acyrlic, which I scored to make a 3D effect - almost like a shadow box, except that it will fold flat for mailing.  For seaweed I used the flourish die from Tim Holtz, and glued them to the bottom of the card, adding some Tim Holtz distress embossing powder for sand.  You can't really see it in this image but I glued two of the oyster shells together and placed a pearl inside!

You can see the pearl in the above photo, just under the largest seahorse's tail.  The dp that is adhered to the back of the card is from Imaginisce - an oldie but a goodie!  The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie.

Hop on over to Doodle Garden and check out the details for the first ever challenge!
